geonosian pistols have higher min damage than the otehrs, and initialyl served a purpose of being superior in pvp ( compared to saya republic) becasue almost nobody ran with stun-layered armor. The geo pistols have no armor piercing, so now that anybody whos serious about pvp wears armor with 36-38% stun protection, your damage is gonan get halfed from teh armor protection, just liek a FWG so it then becomes a choice of sacrificing both mitigation and armor penalties against a gun with no armor piercing or using an armor piercinfg gun with a higher % resistance from the armor. On my server, Valcyn, Ive completely stopped doing PVP even though i have more than 5 pistols in excess of 450 and500max damge (with armor piercing) and this is because on my server there was serious abuse by a number of GUILDS from double slicing exploits. People now have large numbers of excessively fast or high powered pistols without using exceptional krayt tissue to hit 600 damage on regular tissue guns, 90% all, 37% stun armor etc...because of abusing exploits. For a perspective of using legitimate gear I THINK that id ratehr run witha high powered modified republic becasue o f the armor piercing. It eliminated 50% of loss to damage. I figure that overall, that person will have a hgigh encumberence from stun layered armor, and that my high powered republic against the high % will be about equivalent or comparaableto the low % resist against a geo pistol (assuming its a 600+ geo pistol) and ym shot swill land a bleed dot too.... my opinion, but liek i said, until somethigns done about this extremeyl exploited 90% allarmor and huge amount of unbelieavabls overpowered exploited guns, i think its a moot point.
