Do you have a link to the extra info, like what Professions can wear what armor?

So...you can run around in faction armor while covert. Basically everyone knows what side you're on visually but you're still covert and can't be attacked.
Absurd, absolutely absurd. I thought the whole point of over/covert was just that; other players wouldn't know what side you were on except by reputation.
I guess SOE has now defined 'covert' in the same way the define 'smuggler'; a name with no meaning.

Yes. Normally you will choose the armor that goes with your profession because your profession will mitigate some of the penalties that armor gives. i.e. Recon armor makes you dance the funky chicken, Pistoleer will get a mod that says Invulnerable to Funky Chicken.
ok maybe a better one Recon armor by a rule adds +60 hindrance to X (to be determined) a Master Pistoleer would have -60 to recon armor Hindrance of X. where as a guy with about 2 rows might only have -30...
Currently I dont know if you can mix skillset with weapon in hand i.e. can a Master Pistoleer/Master Commando where Assault Armor and still wield a DE-10 and get his commando bonuses to assault. Might need to wait for clarification for that.

What a great special that would be. I can think of a few players I'd like to use that one on. Is that what we have in store for us with the CURB?

Wouldn't that be just our luck. Our only working special will be the funky chicken.

Somehow I think George Lucas AND John Williams would beat the snot out of many devs if they tried to do a Imperial March/Funky Chicken Re-mix...
And FunkyChicken is not the special, its state applied by putting the armor on...we just get immunity to that state...

Hehe, yeah, I know what you meant. I just couldn't pass up the analogy to a new special.
We badly need working specials, and I'd take a FunkyChicken over the current state of our PistolMeleeDefense2 any day.

I cannot wait to get my hands on some of that Rebel battle and assault armor. And now I can finish off my set of Marine with biceps and gloves finally. Nice work Devs
pistoleers are only able to wear recon armor, battle and assault are reserved for other professions...
Actually, I read it a bit differently,
I don't think there will be armor certs, but rather armor bonuses in the professions.
So, Pistoleers might get bonuses to Recon, Riflemen Bonuses to Battle and Carbineers bonuses to Assault.
Each prof could use the other armors, but it would likely be more advantageous to use the "profession" armor.

Same here and yes Maxx, I also knew what you meant, but who can pass up the opportunity to discuss the Funky Chicken, and as a pistoleer special no less
