It does decent dmg. But it does NOT hit multiple enemies at once. It simplytargets something else within firing range andfires off a random ham dmg shot.
Maybe a good way to piss off everything around you without lining them up for a fanshot hehe...
You are wrong sir. It does hit multiple enemies at once. I recently used it on baz nitches on dath. I had the whole lair on me (that's how I like to do things hehe) and I used multi-target shot and it hit about 4 of them at one time. It only did about 1300 damage to a single target and random to the rest of them.
I thought it was broken too and never used it.....this particular time I accidently hit the wrong hotkey when I was firing (fanshot hotkey is next to multi target) and I noticed that it seemed like it was hitting multiple targets.....so I continued to use it focusing on how many targets it was hitting and sure enough it was hitting multiple targets in a very big radius.
It's still a bit random though. It doesn't seem to hit multiple enemies all the time. Sometimes it hits 1 enemy multiple times.
Fanshot is stronger, faster and more accurate. Multitarget has a bigger radius and does less damage overall.
guess im used to just taking out one bar with swordsman 
all this ranged stuff is strange to me hehe
