Master Pistoleer might as well just be a starter Profession because it's weak without Smuggler's FD line or the Expert BH line. Now compared to a Rifleman that spend the same 92 points...

The Devs still think Pistoleer is a strong profession because they can't get it through their head that it's the FD line and the Expert BH line that mights the Pistoleer an adequate profession. Pistoleer alone is the same as FD alone, worthless

I've been holo grinding for the past few months, and the only profession I haven't had to give up (yet) is master pistoleer, because of how good it is, or apperantly, how good I am at it . If yuo know what specials to use when, and what weapons to use against what opponents, you can definately hold your own with just pistoleer, hands down. Getting dirty fighting helps of course, but any REAL pistoleer doesn't need that to hold their own in PvP.

Pistoleers are week and there is no question about it. Just look at the three things below and they are showstoppers for the pistoleer dev, who is clearly asleep at the wheel.

• Almost all the specials are broke or bugged!


• Master Pistoleer aren't even the fastest with pistols in this game.


• Smuggler pistol movesare allbetter than any of the pistoleer moves

The only reason I am any good in PvP is becauseI have the DF line in smuggler. The only pisoleer move that worth using is Fanshoot. And maybe one or two of the others depending on the situation.

Ok you guys that claim that the pistoleers whining just arent good pistoleers i tell you that a mediocre rifleman will own a great pistoleer period thats why im master pistoleer master rifleman 4 box smuggler pistol lol, i own. But a pistoleer by itself is wimpy in pvp unless your just fighting people that dont know shiat about pvp.

The point he is trying to make is that pistoleers are weak; he shouldn't have to have parts of the BH skill set to be a good pistoleer.

Let's try this then... If you think pistoleers are weak, then don't be one. If you are grinding pistoleer just to get Jedi, then don't worry about it, drop it when you are done.

Actually they arent weak....Ive taken out lots of people. They have good defense and if you are smart and have a good gun and know when to use each one you will come out victorious almost everytime. You think its weak? Then add 0/0/4/0 in smugger. Ive killed guys in one shot in pvp before. Once you master it you will think differently. FYI use a republic blaster because IT IS YOUR FRIEND!!!!. If you can get one use a geonosian sonic blasterbecause it has stun attack and armor wont effect the damage. With 0/0/4/0 smuggler (rogue) you get a kd shot (long range) and panic shot (long range warcry) so use those two and spam either last ditch (if you have a fast gun ie 2.0 or lower) or use fan shot. Be smart when you pvp

Anyone saying pistoleer dosent suck when you get skill A from a seperate profession are proving the point far better then the original poster did. Pistoleer, is just above Pikeman in terms of uselessness in PvP.

Consider honestly, if you pick up DF, as I do, honestly, which combat abilities do you use more often in pvp? The ones you get in pistoleer, or the ones you get in DF? DF obviously, last ditch is the best damaging shot available to pistols, low blow and the soon to be nerfed panic shot are absolute MUSTS for anyone seriously attempting to fight in pvp using pistoleer as anything but a defense buff profession. The only pistoleer attack I use is fanshot, and occasionally health shot 2 in pve. I.E. The truth is, were dirty fighters, who master pistoleer only to get the accuracy and speed mods(both of which are woefully underpar in my opinion).

The same can be said of BH/pistoleers, why spam anything but torso shot and eye shot? Honestly? **edit** would you do anything but that if you had them available to you?

Simply put, yes player skill comes into play. I can beat a fair number of people with my current template. However, I actually have to fight hard, EVERYTIME. Where as all but one other profession just has to spam a few shots, get lucky on me not kding and missing panic, and their golden, and I"m done.

Pistoleer REALLY needs some loving. I would say more so then carbiner, although carbiners would disagree. I explain it this way. Carbiner is a very good profession if you are buffed. Pistoleer is moot in a battle if you the opponent are buffed(unless your lucky enought o loot a decent DOT geno, or made a deal with the devil to loot a schem). Without buffs, it comes down to hoping to get a decent roll on a few specials, or you zap your own ham because unlike many other professions, WE HAVE to spam specials to do enough damage to incapp someone.

We need love, and apparently its not coming for a while...

Actually on a serious note..I agree with what you have stated. As a Pistoleer, I see myself as an assistant in PvP. I'll knock em down, they take em out.
