General ranged aiming is used with aim - thats awesome to know, thanks.
Hmm, I must have misread the +'s in teh skill tree for dodge on fencer and pistoleer. I'll check my pistoleer one when I get home from work today, I thought for sure it was 55. If it is 105 each, I can see where +210 dodge makes them godlike, would be interesting to see what +125 is like right now in game.
Confirm +105 for Dodge on a master pistoleer
Thanks for the comments man
Anyone else? Does anyone have a clear answer where the while standing and while moving come into play? (i.e. are they added to the basic accuracy or are they smooshed into some weird accuracy formula?)
These come into play when you character is standing or moving in combat to off-set the penalty that is incurred by these states
Does anyone have some first hand expereince in game now with a high + to accuracy tape while fighting a stacker - or has fought someone with +125 ish dodge using only your master pistoleer accuracy?
Keep the replies coming

It is directly related to the /aim command. I think master pistoleer gets a a small amount of aiming, but I'd be curious to know how Aiming worked. here's my theories on it:
- when you use the /aim command, the + amount you have in pistol aiming is applied to your overall pistol accuracy, thereby increasing your accuracy
- /aim increases your accuracy by a certain amount (maybe doubles it, increases it by 25%, dunno)
- /aim does nothing except give you warm fuzzies
- /aim increases damage because you "pinpoint" your shot on the target ????
I'll do some research and get back to you. if /aim is useful and we just having been using it because it's in ranged support, then I think it's about time we pick that skillbox up again ![]()
Last I heard, your Aim bonuses added to your accuracy on the next shot. So +10 Aim means +10 Accuracy on your next shot if you aim. Aiming is pretty much the only way Bounty Hunters can hit anything with an inaccurateLLC, for example.
Unfortunately, as Pistoleers, aiming is a bad idea - better to keep moving and shooting rather than stand still aiming.
That really depends on the situation. I for instance had good results with an /aim Low Blow macro over long (40m+) distances, even against defense stackers.
But maybe that's due to me having Ranged Support IV, if I drop it down to Ranged Support I again it might become less useful.

Curiouser and curioser. I recently aquired the cap in skill tapes for "pistol aiming" as well now. Keep in mind that is yet another seperate catagory from "general ranged aiming" and the three pistol accuracy catagories.
I also did tests with a defense stacker who was master pistoleer/dodge, and aim didnt help me hit them - it was as if I hadn't aimed. Intimidate helped a lot, but it made me sad that aim didnt seem to do crap.
However as you mention, since lowblow is such a crapfest and works 1/15 of the time, I was wondering if it helped that at all - I will have to do some testing with aim, followed by low blow.
xadius you kill me in pvp and i have +205 dodge
I know a guy who was in front of the starport in coronet selling a bunch of pistol skill enhancing attachemnts....ill look through my log and see what his name was and send you a mail or tell. See you later
