Thread: is this the best pistoleer template then?

start running lots of groups into the geo caves. And i believe the corvette to get peices for the de-10. As more schematics and components become available, more pistols will be around

Yah after hitting them with torso shot twice the burn was ticking for about 980 every 5 seconds.

thanks for the info, that does blast damage right? I never considered the LP.

But before when I was a Reb and Master Commando, TKM, Pistoleer 0-0-3-0 LP and Stoping Shot even with the crap speed use to chew through ATST and Turrets so I would guess that since the ATST nerf and the templet I have now could realy chew through them. Just stay away from my ATST.....

This is the set up I am trying for currently. It seems to have many, many more tools at its disposal than the Fencer 4-3-0-0 plan. Yet, it is lacking on defense as the other posters have pointed out.


So which is worth more?


~75 Ranged/Melee Defense


+20 Dodge


OR


Blast damage


Ranged Knockdown


Ten Second Stun


Feign Death


(I'm not sure what benefit Last Ditch has? I hear that the damage multiplier on Stopping Shot is better, and as we all know, every special caps at one second. Anyone have any thoughts on Last Ditch if my speed is at +100?)



I've never been one for defenses in SWG. They never seem to work as well as they should. I think I'm going to try for the Smuggler/Novice Commando set up first. Let me see if a full bag of tricks is better than a bag made of steel.


Please comment. I'd love to hear ideas and experiences with these set ups.

my template is master pistoleer master fencer tka 0304 medic 2000 ill have awsome defenses fencer for pvp and pistoleer if anyone kites

and last ditch has a better damagae multiplier then stopping shot,it has higher ham cost though

Having feign death is practically invaluable. Medic is almost moot when you have feign. Especially if you like to solo alot and take on higher end mobs. So many times I have found myself in a situation where healing myself is only delaying the inevitable. But, by playing dead and letting my stats regen I give myself another chance. This is useful in PvP and PvE. I can go to the Death Watch Bunker or Geo Caves and throw down a torso shot shoot for a little bit then play dead. When my stats are back up and/or my DoT runs out I get back up and do it again. I have single handedly killed battle droids at the DWB without any healing from myself our others. And I don't have any melee skills other than Brawler 4000. So for any character I henceforth make I will try my best to incorporate Dirty Fighting. Finally, low blow and last ditch rule! Knock em down and spam last ditch. If a target is vulnerable to blast my little LP 90-281 without powerup will do 2-5k damage per second.

Dodge has a cap? See, this is the kind of information that noobs and casual players need to know. How the hell would you know that working toward a higher dodge was useless if someone didn't tell you? I hate this game... but... can't .... stop...

Lastditch has a 6 times damage multiplier and has a stun state effect. Very, very nice special, one of the few good ones for pistols.

Panic Shot has been nerfed to near uselessness. It works like warcry, just that it's a ranged cone. There are nice ways to use it, just that it's not anymore that great special it used to be.

Lowblow is pretty cool, you need a lot of accuracy though, best used with /aim.

Quick fixes to make the game fun now: NPCs using weapons and special attacks, reduced resistances on all except faction armor and percentbased encumbrance, faction armor craftable with improved resistances with limited use schematics from recruiters, no permadeath for faction pets, doc buffs percentbased, fixed BH mission payouts, more imperial crackdown activities, replace SBDs on the corvette with high ranking NPCs, reintroduce a Jedi TEF, reward overt players with improved payouts and faction gains
