It doesnt have to be this way. For example, if you equip two pistols at once you should be hit by double HAM costs when using specials.

I am so sick of hearing about people using 2 pistols. My character is a master pistoleer and does just fine. I know its just a game but have you ever fired a pistol in real life? First of all it takes 2 hands to do it with any accuracy. Secondly if you were to fire a pistol with one hand and fire another one in your other hand you would not hit anything you were aiming at. I don't know where the notion of duel pistols came from but it is rediculous. If they were ever to give the ability to use two pistols at once I hope the cost is that your accuracy falls by about 95% because that is what would happen. Unless you were Arnold Schwartzaneger or the guy from the Matrix or something.

Kruschev666, I'd hate to burst your bubble, but didn't you realize that MANY real life rules do not apply in this game? Or in plenty of other games?

How about you have to have master pistoleer for adesignated amount of time and the BH pistol 4 tree. Those are high requirements but dual pistols is quite a reward!

You made the biggest mistake you could ever make with your post. You referenced a bounty hunter character from the movie witha cool idea for the game. Doing this will only bring about one thing, all BH's screaming that it was a bounty hunter doing it therefore it must be a bounty hunter skill. It's a cool idea and been mentioned many times but it is very far down the list of items in the game to deal with, though it would be very cool.

A similar thing happened on the CM forums. It was suggested that CM's get a poison dart that did direct damage as opposed to a DOT which is all that is granted in the CM tree for offensive attack. As soon as a BH got wind of theidea they took over thethread claiming that since Jango Fett used it in the movie it must be a BH skill.

Never reference a bounty hunter when suggesting anything for the game, it will be turned around and twisted that it must be a BH skill as they deserve everything. BH's have asked for skills for their professionthat already exist in about a third of all the professions in the game.

VERY stereotypical. If you do a search on our boards you will see a similar discussion. But you will also see us divided on whether it should be a BH or a Pistoleer thing. Please don't generalize if you aren't 100% certain that it is exactly how you state. In our last discussion it was almost an even split (50% for 50% against) on which profession should get this, and then we pretty much agreed it could be either one.

He he he, I'm getting images in my head right now of a duel-wielding commando with 2 LP's...

I'd personally say to implement the same way duel weild is in DnD, where you take a fairly significant accuracy hit with two pistols equiped (although as your skill in duel-weilding increases, or accuracy in general this innacuracy would decrease.) Single pistol would always be more accurate, but for those who want to spray fire everywhere at a really fast rate duel-weilding would be the way to go.
