a good alternative is to get some carbine skills and knock them down from far away andthen spam your favorite pistolattack while kiting

I think cob will work with any weapon equipped. The trick is, in order to activate cob, you have to have the right melee weapon equipped. So in this case you would have to switch to a fencer weapon, activate cob, and then switch to your pistol. The new weapon delay makes this more annoying.

I don't think Kip Up Shot can make you stand back up from Knockdown, unless it was stealth buffed recently. Let me know what you find.
I know Dilune, myself, and some Pistoleers had been asking for something like that to be applied to Kip Up Shot, but beyond that I haven't heard anything about it.

I've just typed /stand and stood up. It would probably work in a macro but my toolbar is already full. Most of the times I've tried it I've gotten up on the first try and by the time the KD timer resets the battle is usually over.

If you are still dizzy when you try to stand you get "you're so dizzy you fall down" . . . i THINK although I don't know cuz I've never been a brawler is that they spam a dizzy attack along with whatever else they use. I have foudn pistoleer to be VERY effective against TKMs and most other bralwer profs (Except Jedi) as long as they dont get a dizzy/kd. . .

If you get knocked down you can always hope that they'll spam another knockdown on you. If you're knocked down and you get hit with another knock-down, you will stand.
Try hitting an enemy with Pistol Whip, knocking them down, and hit Pistol Whip again. They will immediately get up, whereas it would usually take them a few seconds to stand.

Unarmed Knockdown 2 is both a dizzy and a knockdown. So you don't have to spam a dizzy attack as a TK, you just keep using KD2 until you stick both.
Also, as a TKM I can tell you one of the most frustrating things is to knock someone down before the dizzy and then have them get up. I can't use a KD on them for awhile.
One thing to remember with dizzy is that it has a chance to knock you down on any posture change. So if you get dizzy and get knocked down but get up ok, and then you decide to kneel or go prone for accuracy, you could end up flat on your back.

THe only think I try to do when I get back up is heal my dizzy state. . .generally once I am down, I stay down. It gets frustrating cuz you KNOW that IF you can get up, you probablt wont go down again. . .
thanks for the advice. . .

Unless they changed it in the last month kip-up does not change you to standing while dizzy... I cant recall if it lets you fall again or wont let you at all.. but I tested this specifically.
One thing to remember is the dizzy is a PERCENT chance to fall again... dont spam away at the stand command... be calm, hit it once and wait to see if you fall again... with patience you can get up again while dizzied and stay on your feet...
Oh, keep Thakatillo on hotkey

How does this work cuz you cant heal state while on the ground. . .
I have our guild chef working on some Ithorian Mist. . .I also looted a great AA last night....Defense vs. Dizzy +9, Polearm Counter Defense +7, Aim Bonus +6. . .At least this will add a little to my defense vs. dizzy.

It works due to lag and timing.. the reason he has to hit it twice is the healstate the first time doesn't work and the second time hits him before the dizzy/fall kicks in from the first stand.... lag is your friend..
