You know that when you fire a conceal shot you can see the laser right? So if you get shot all you have to do is track the laser to the guy and go get him. And conceal shot is VERY slow so there is no chance of spamming it.

Conceal shot is a special issue when considering spamming. In PvP, it will be pretty easy to track the laser fire and get within 15m to uncover folks, which will make melee friends creating diversions a great asset to sneaky riflemen. In PvE, right now conceal shot is buggy; mobs that want to melee attack will run right up and attack you on your first shot, and ranged mobs will raise their gun and aim at you but remain far enough away so that your cover doesn't break, and you can keep firing indefinitely.
Hopefully the PvE conceal shot will be balanced so that creature AI attempts to find you by wandering randomly when shot with conceal, and that there will be a chance for conceal to break even with conceal shot.
Other than conceal shot, I'd mention that spamming one attack over and over again generally is a bad idea because the cooldown timer for a specific special is slower than the timer for specials in general. You'll get more bang for your buck alternating 2 high speed/damage specials. Ie., headshot/bodyshot, bodyshot/critical shot, etc. I agree that this doesn't particularly match what I thought SOE's intent was for eliminating the ability to spam specials. On the other hand, at least you can't keep doing it indefinitely, like now; you'll run out of action after a minute or two if you are spamming alternating specials.

I normally get a kill way before running out of action with advanced critical shot on auto with a DE10 or proton carbine for longer range. I just hit the icon for the root and state attacks when i need them (and can work out which one of the cartoons they are!)!

Conceal shot is no faster with a pistol than with a rifle. It has a warmup on it and takes forever compared to other shots. With a pistol you will have to be within 35 meters of someone and also if you get the incap (somehow) then you will need to get up and go deliver a DB. Also as soon as people see you doing conceal shot they are gonna be all over you. I was testing this for a few hours last night. It is great fun but far from an /I win button

Damage Outputs does not equal what your templete is. LOL this thread had one person post on topic, ie what specisl do the most damage. Advanced Quick Shot does do some good damage 290 max from what I've found (attacking assualt armor) Anybody with anything differant, and I don't care what your templete is, mine was just a referance.

As far as I can tell, the damage shots for Pure PIstoleer go in this order
QuickDraw
Fan Shot
BodyShot
BodyShot doing the most Damage.

I have mostly been dueling melee templetes and for some reasn bodyshot seems to do less damage then fanshot does. I'll have to spend some more time on it and see if it's affected by differant builds etc. etc.

well all this mute now that the action point costs were increased. Pistoleers are going to have alot of down time waiting for the action bar to regenerate. I rather would take a hit on damage output than have the action costs increases, i didnt think pistoleer before the last patch on test center was balanced well against other professions.

seems every weapon is generic in its damage and onlu does a effect insead of more damage.
i mean most of the hit can be summed up in one special move so why not make that move "generic shot" that is modfied as your accuracy & combat lvl goes up.

you're going to spam a shot really fast with a pistol from 35m away?
LOL if someone walks within 20m of you your cover is blown
