how much better does it do against lairs? ive never heard this before.

there all specialist weapons..

geos = pvp

scatter = acid weak npcs like rancors

launcher pistol = at-st's, turrets,nite sisters and pvp lag

I tend to use the LP or Scatter more often over the Sonic and others. If you are a pure pistoleer with novice commando and dirty fighting 4, you're going to like visitting the geo cave, most of the things in there are blast vuln as my 420 max dmg LP does 3300-3500+ dmg with lastditch and often outdamage fencers and TKMs with it on crazed geos winning looting rights. The LP is loads of fun especially at speed cap from BH pistols.

I've found that between the disarm1 "nerf" and the turret HP uppage recently the launcher is no longer the go to weapon for turrets. Much better just to let the Powerhammers go at em and focus on the targets you can hurt. Still works vs walkers, and blast vuln mobs, but thats about it. The stats on yer average launcher are not impressive, and as has been posted, it's AP0.

Now Lag induction is what launcher pistols do best, they make it hard for melee types to effectively move from target to target. Is it "right" ? dunno. Does it work? yup.

On a side note, my favorite pistol animation after wip with any gun, is /lowblow with the launcher vs NPC's. The grenade arcs out to the target, and the target takes a little dive as it hits. Looks like they get blown aside by the blast

I'm a bigger fan of the Geo. The LP just isnt worth the bang for the buck so to speak.

just wanted to add something



launcher pistol is a jedi killer,,,plain and simple


people think it might be a bug, but read up on it,,,it hasnt been nerfed yet.


if a jedi is supposed to block 90percent of hits,,,he will only block 50percent from a launcher.

420 max dmg!!!!! where did u get that????

There's been a couple selling on our server recently that are unsliced and in the 300 damage range so I could see how this would be possible.

there is a bug riight now (we think it's a bug) where jedi have trouble blocking LP's. worth it just for that...

As said above, the launcher pistol is mainly used for AT-ST and Turrents.


If your template is similar to mine, you can solo Single AT-ST no problem by using a Torso Shot then spamming Last Ditch (or Stopping Shot). They die fast.
