Quenkers got a HAM boost a while back so they aren't quite the same for griding pistoleer. I'd suggest plain voritors because of the energy weakness.

As discussed here:

...xp reward depends on all sorts of things, which make them very difficult to predict.
As for my grinding beasts, I tend to use Piket Protectors - in the 4000's for xp and drop like flies spamming pba1. Normal Pikets are too easy and Longhorns can get you into trouble by swarming.Although after this, I'll take another look at the Huurton family.

I agree. Piket protectors are great. Just shoot the lair a bit and the area is swarmed with them, and then pba1 is all it takes. Its a easy way to grind heaps of xp without putting much effort in it.

I have noted that xp gain is dependent on group. Sometimes I have got as much as 5100 fora simple huurton stalker. In a bad group you get far less. With pistoleer I still prefer Mokk/Janta since I can often fanshot them from a distance when Huurtons runs between my legs before I have the chance to shoot them down.

Nice screenie, this whole discussion on PBA1 makes me really wish that PBA2 and MTPS worked!

I use pba1 against a large group of monsters that are difficult to fanshot (like piket and huurtons). Got a script that instantly do /pointblankarea1 15 times

I took up the FS grind recently and started using this macro I made called "areaspam"
/pointBlankArea1
/pause 0.5
/multi
/pause 1
/multi
/pause 1
/macro areaspam
Multi Target Pistol Shot seems really buggy, sometimes it hits everything, sometimes it doesn't, if one of your targets turns into a corpse (beacause you just killed it) it clears thecombat queue.
The PBA1 is in there as it seems to help MTPS with targetting, in that just spamming MTPS at a lair will leave some critters unharmed, but with the pba1 in there it seems to help MTPS target them.
I'm still not sure what the best combo of specials to spam is to kill a lair quickly AFK. Not timed it yet.

Im using geo blaster against the lair. Lair seems to be invulnerable against stun attacks, so I can continue to fire on it until everything is dead.
When there's only a few (3-4) monsters left, I switch to stoppingshot.

I thought about doing that but damaging the lair makes more mobs spawn... so when I get back from doing whatever it was I was doing, the lair is blown and I have lots of xp...
Only problem is if the lair blows and there are mobs left... might have a macro that does a long pause then calls a macro that just cycles targets.... hmmm.
spampause
/pause 3000 (however long it takes to kill a lair on average)
/macro spamcycle
spamcycle
/ui action cycleTargetIn
/healthShot2
/pause 0.5
/macro spamcycle
All I have to do now is train my seven year old son to pull missions and fly to and from lairs.

Thats an advanced A.I indeed ^^
What I just said is that a Geonocian Blaster dont harm the lair at all. if you can afford Geo to grind with, try it.
