The hard part is keeping them intimidated and stunned while kiting.
Also, you can use Lowblow and Suppression Fire 1 to help you kite (kd and posture change). If you become kneeled and dizzy, use Kip Up Shot to stand you up without falling.
I think a lot of us older pistoleers would disagree with you on this point.

I only dabble in Pistols, only really using this prof for the nice defences, but My template is MCM/Pistols0040/Smug0030 and personally, I enjoy dotting them, then using panic shot to delay them, this way my poisons/diseases has time to tick. To use this to your advantage, I would suggest using a few eyeshots, and then to a panicshot, and then back to eyeshot. At the same time, take some defence vs KD food, to prevent yourself from flopping everywhere due to some melee stackers. If they have no rbanches in medic, all you need is HS2, and a decent health bleed. Fan Shot can be usefull for a high end attack, especially if you have an action or mind dot on them, because you have a decent chance of hitting one of those stat pools as well.
