It sounds to me like it'll be in testing longer then any other publish, so it may not be as bugged as you think... plus, with the last jedi publish we now know the devs can actually hold off pushing a publish through for a week or so to do last minute fixes. That was the first publish they've held back like that...

If the Combat balance is due in publish 11, then expect it to be in January/March. You can see for yourself at the in concept. However it is really not saying much about the combat balance. However it says more than the info from publish 10, so it's more than likely that it'll be in publish 11 than 10.
I myself think the combat balance will be in publish 11 and has thus decided to leave the game. As a Pistoleer/Smuggler I can't wait 6/12 months to finally get something from this game.

So when was this pushed back? Wasn't it part of publish 9? Is there a thread regarding the balance somewhere?

I don't make buff or armor and I really don't PVP to much so for me (and this is just for me) I like buffs and armor but I think 2.5k buff are a little to much. As for the movie nobody can shoot in the SW movies so I hope that they don't make it like in the movies

Funny, as a casual gamer I feelthe opposite -- like I don't have the time or money to make buffs (particularly) and armor (to a lesser degree -- although obviously buffs and armor often go hand-in-hand) practical. This doesn't matter so much to me in PvE -- I'm happy taking down humbabas and sludge panthers on Talusrather than the big baddies on other planets.
But it makes even casual (do you wanna duel?) PvP totally out of reach in most cases -- something I really miss from the early days of the game. The devs originally said they wanted to make the drawbacks of wearing armor roughly equal to the benefits (the idea beingthe guys wearing armor in the movies were usually the ones being taken down) -- I hope they find a way to get back to that philosophy.

I can't wait for combat rebalance. I remember the good old days when it took a group of commando's to take down an at-st, and now you have a tersa kasi artist doing it np, where is the realism? I know we don't want to see a ton of nerfs, but a lot of things need it. I dont' want to see everything nerfed but no player should be able to do that. Tersa Kasi, rifleman, doc buffs, armor. a lot of things need to come down. The only thing that the game can do to hold us over is lesson the requirements for BH...when they should have just made it up to par. That is the only class I can see that should really be above the others in pvp. And more than anything this game, after over a year of being out should not have broken specials. It is rediculous.

So the general consensus is the CB is due after JTL...around x-mas or january...is that just serious speculation or are you all convinced of this? I thought I read the CB was to go on TC within a couple of weeks after patch 10 goes live on the servers. Wouldnt that put it's release much closer than x-mas? Just trying to get an idea of how much time I have before this thing actually happens.

If this has been changed then please post the source of the information for all to see. People are starting to react to misinformation here I believe.
