And here I was wondering why with 3 boxes in Marksmanship and nothing else, i didn't seem to be improving much. Thanks for the info, my next filed box will be in Pistol Techniques.

So far the fastest exp I have been able to recieve with ANY combat profession has been done by doing the following
it's a wee bit expensive, because it calls for armor and buffs)
Anyway, you get buffed, some nice ubese armor head on over to dantoonie.
Go to the smallest player city you can find, whip out your lowest leveled pet (i use a surgical droid who is level 1) this is done because 1. being grouped with anything gives you more exp, and 2. the lower your groups over all level, the closer your missions will be.
Now you search for savage quenker missions, they bring in 68XX cash per mission, it would be in the interest of saving time to get them in the same direction.
Now from there the technique varies from profession to profession, try not to use kinetic or energy, as quenkers have 35% kinetic and energy (15% everything else save for the 0% stun) Pistoleers can go with either fwg5's or Dx2 for best results.
right now the special i am using is health shot 1, and it seems to be working the best of all i'm at 0032 and it actually out damages all of my attacks because it shoots the fastest and deals about 300-700 health damage. (i use a 120-190 DX2 with 2.4 speed)
Quenkers are the BEST exp in this game because: they have 4000-4900 HAM, and give out 4000 exp. This is the greatest HAM/EXP ratio in the game.
So if you can fork out the money for some decent ubese (you really dont need more than 30% with buffs) and some buffs, you can get exp quickly, 6 quenkers to a lair, lairs range from 2000-3000 exp rougly 27k exp per lair, you should get them done rougly in 3-5 minutes if you use the above tactics.

personally I've found that there are 2 great ways of levelling :
1/ Join larger groupsfor sharnaff/enraged rancor missions (pre/post novice)
2/ Baz nitches, quenkers, tortons and malklocs (yeah I know the last 2 ain't great, but its fun to pistol whip something 20 times your size to the ground and pound it into oblivion)
once you have decent kinetic (ubese, comp or layered chitin) armor 2/ is probably the better option, with or without buffs depending on ur amor and skill (dodge and melee def trees are incredibly usefly, as are pets)

however, be careful...the fanshot will hit ANY targetable item within the Area of Effect...you can get a whole lot of whuppus on you if you're not watching where you're shooting

I'll make a link in the "Creating the Pistoleer Guide" thread already stickied at the top. Great guide. ![]()
Writing the Pistoleer Guide isn't a high priority of mine with the other stuff going on lately, but I'll get to it. If somebody wants to compile all of the information and write it themselves, they are more than welcome to of course.

please edit it to reflect the changes to panicshot...
and point out that feign death does not end combat, so as soon as you get back up the creatures will aggro you again even if you are 100m away.

Good guide. However, many rogues or master smugglers would call u an idiot for not using last ditch. As there favorite combo is panic shot, lowblow, last ditch. Thats delayed knocked out and heavily dmg. This guid is good but if any of you chaps are from ahzi, go to mos oasis on tat. Hunt tusken raiders, banthas, dewbacks, rontos, and your pretty close to the krayt graveyard if your interested in that.
