Sythe1: Don't come on the pistoleer forum and NOT flame pistoleers! You'll confuse people if you don't conform to the norm and cry about how pistoleers can kill people sometimes so they need to be nerfed!

Ha, posting a 'this isn't an argue post' on the SWG forums, LoL, what were you thinking? That's like walking into a melee battle with a teddy bear... and look what happened when you did it... someone tried to hack you appart even though you were sending a message other than 'I hate you'

I really think the BH trees were poorly done, which is why there are so many problems arising right now. Scouting should play a larger role in the profession. I believe the whole reason it was made to be a prerequisite to BH, is to represent the resourcefulness of the Bounty Hunter, which should be their main strengths. They should be deadly because they are the jack-of-all-trades, and can be lethal in any situation, which is why they're forced to master all three guns. But the way it is now, there is absolutely no benefit to having any skills in the other trees. Perhaps one solution would be so every tree gives GENERAL weapon bonuses, so going up one tree alone won't help that much, while going up all four will give them the edge over other specialized professions. I dunno, just tossing around ideas.

kaeg" Currently BH can purposfully target different mind pools with pistol and carbine that pistoleers and carbinerrs can not, I'd chalk that up to being unique in that aspect of their profession"

its a unique special of a skill that the pistoleers and carbineers naturally feel domain over. and thats where the problem is and why you see so many pistolvs bh posts. all they really had to do was create a class specific wpn line for BH and there would have been no prob. but if you notice the +pistol/carb/hvy wpn skills for bh are the same as the pistoleer/carb/commando +skills.(i.e. they stack). so they are not unique.

the BH proffesion was on the list of proffesions that never actually saw beta. the entire bh proffesion was changed to its current state the last week of beta . thats right 1 whole week of beta some of these proffesions were tested. commando, be were also 1 week beta tested.

Yeah, I remember in Beta that BHs has something like three trees dealing with droid use. BHs and Commandos never really got tested very well at all in Beta because they were changed so close to release.

Yes, from the BH standpoint, you SHOULD be better at pistols than us.

That doesn't mean you should win the duels a majority of the time. The BH has too many weapons in their inventory to deal withother than simply pistol skills.

The problem is PvP.

I continue to propose that the BH simply be removed from PvP entirely. (after fixing the profession first, hopefully), so that we can go and perform our normal duties layed down in the profession's description. The BH doesn't belong there. The Commando shouldn't be anywhere else BUT in PvP.

The remaining balance should be between melee and the Pistoleer / Carbineer / Rifleman for the realm of PvP and the GCW.

Pistol whip needs to do some mind damage *OWWW!* and have all health HAM removed from the cost of performing the special. Then, a small timer added. It is a full physical movement rather than a trigger pull, so should be timed. It makes no sense that the guy with the knot on his head takes no damage, while you do!

Finally, a smart BH.

If they ever give Rifles a range greater than 64m, the BH will be pretty dangerous with there rifle expertise and being able to switch to pistol when there mark gets close.

Ya i will agree for sure that the BH tree itself is screwed up. Did you know it was put out 1 day before release ? Thats why i have to agree that the devs realy were not sure on what to do with it at the time.

Haha, Beta was so funny. Huge patch released and 1 day later they announce actual game release in a week. The huge patch included all the changes to BH that are now being used. Ranger was not well tested. Squad Leader was a largely abandoned profession (pretty bad when your beta testers won't put in the time there eh?) Commando had huge problems...the list goes on and on about what was not tested well. Now we find out that the devs consider us, as a whole, too powerful for their game? In the interest of appeasing certain classes they are going to cause a mass exodus. I know I am at my boiling point with both my classes. Pistoleer they consider too powerful (its a PISTOL issue, not a class issue) and SL they ignore. Yay for $15 a month.

At this point I could care less what another class does or doesn't do. I could care less what the numeric modifiers they include on the skill trees. More than half seem broken or turned off. Has anyone ever really noticed a difference in accuracy between standing or kneeling when they have master gunfighter? I stand still...then kneel and get a +15 to accuracy...thought I was supposed to have a +15 when standing as a general rule! But it doesn't seem to show up, or its modifying the kneeling and proneposition too. I am supposed to have a +30 to hit when moving around (something like that) but my negative modifier when moving seems to be the same as when I was a newbie marksman. The numbers all look great but nothing seems to actually work. So the BH gets more speed and accuracy bonus (pure) than we do? Not that you can tell the numbers are actually doing anything. Who cares! The BH can target mind pool? My fanshot gets all three and fires faster than their eyeshot. **edit** for tat.

I'm sorry for turning this into a bit of a rant, but I'm tired of the whole BH/Pistoleer argument. Its like screaming into the teeth of a hurricane.
