Wow, so if we cant hit lairs, that means they are actually making it so we cant hit the broad side of a barn? This "Combat balance" started when i left the game about 6 months ago, i cant beleive it is taking this long. So many bugs from so long ago, and a plethora of new ones.

pistoleers already have the lowest DPS of the ranged professions. add in now the decreased accuracy and our effectiveness drops even more. how can they expect us to compete? lowest DPS to start, AND we now miss 30-40% of the time even at master level? thats ridiculous. these accuracy changes will make it virtually mandatory for a pistoleer to either take up BH pistols or buy tons of accuracy tapes.
riflemen get +160 accuracy at master.
Carbineers get +130
Pistoleers get +95
pistoleers should be the most accurate from 0-15 meters. after that there should be horrible negatives to accuracy. but this really isnt the case.
I would be interested to know how your tests were conducted Randon. was the target stationary or moving? were you moving? different postures? varying distances?

My testing was not exhaustive, but I do have some concrete example logs for illustration.
See the thread linked below:

Squidwalker wrote:As a whole I don't have a huge problem with this. And my suspisions of it are correct. It was part of the CB anyway, they are just pushing out early because the "Combat Balanced Jedi" are going in LIve already. And they would be way out of wack with out the added "accuracy modifiers".All it comes down to is what I have been saying about the CB. Get used to not being able to kill as high level things as you can now. The whole combat line is being lowered a few notches.Start getting used to using tactics, not power, folks. I see this specific change as making PvP more level playing field, and PvE will be lower power for us. Which is fine. It will be a bit refreshing, IMHO.
True, but also, it seems that the devs have been adding near-impossible mobs--Corvette, DWB--if we can hardly struggle through these NPCs and monsters with groups of 10+ then how much more difficult will it be to enjoy these 'dungeons' when everyone is nerfed down a few notches. As it stands, the only people that will be able to handle these mobs are jedi and thus they will gain a virtual monopoly on the rare loot and make it very hard for casual players to enjoy this game in the least. Furthermore, I think its unfair to even talk about nerfing such classes as pistoleer and carbineer, since we've been at the short end of the stick since, well, nearly the beginning. There isn't much we can do in the way of tactics, as most of our specials are nerfed and, the ones that work, don't provide any significant means ot attaining any sort of tactical advantage in the battlefield--regardless of the combinations we use. But I agree with you, we'll need to see more 'strategy' and 'tactics' and this has always been my hope, but please devs, if you do, make the *%^&ing professions work so that we have the ability to play it tactical and play it smart--making the game much more enjoyable.
Otherwise, I imagine, I'll be living in SPACE with little thought of ever coming back planetside, only to heal and resupply.
