Well, that's one good point about the balance. Cause you cont balance it, at all Pistoleers shooting stopping shot isnt a very good example though, cause pistoleers are the ones getting the shortest straw there, due to having the fastest speed / lowest damage weapons. Imagine a T21 rifle with 600 max damage doing the 1 shot per second thing with specials.. How's that? The whole balance goes out of the window if its supposed to be balanced through one class shooting fast and light damage and the other one shooting slow and heavy damage, if they all shoot the same speed in the end.


Anyways, as for the statistics, I'm still at work so I cant provide very detailed logs, but this if from what I've posted before on some other threads a few weeks back. I'm not actually a pistoleer, I'm a carbineer with bounty carbine 4 (+135 speed mod) but the exact same should apply to pistols, since this is a general game mechanics thing rather than just one class issue. The following is with a 4.3 delay laser carbine, using theBH carbine underhand shot which I imagine most are familiar with from pvp It's not the highest delay shot (or the most damaging one) I get but due to not being able to make more logs from work it'll have to do until later

Anyways, currently pistols and carbines get to that point easy if they take BH skills, rifles cant quite get there (theoretically) cause the max they get from master rifleman + master marksman is +95 mod, but in practice, you'd need something shooting slower than 20 sec for it to not max out with that mod (95% off 20sec = 1 sec)

That's the formula someone posted above.


Now if Y = Special Move Modifier


X = Weapon Speed


The old formula Jaegen posted was ( X*Y - 0.54*X*Y = Cooldown).


Since Y = 1 for a regular shot, then you get (X - 0.54*X = Cooldown).

Eh just so no one gets confused, the 0.54 value also varies depending on pistoleer skill.

Yes, they are only using the standard attack but the way he talks in the example he is computing the speed of the weapons then takes that number applies it to the damage being done to figure out the damager per second. This would indicate that the speed is calclated then applied to the attack.

Also I guess I am hoping the dev team has enough experience that they did not make the speed a percentage of total speed.
