NON-CreatureHandler Pistoleer: Go to Lok and kill snorbals witha Mountain Krevol tanking them.

Hit them with HealthShot1, then HealthShot2 then while the pet is tanking them, use PistolWhip upon them, then proceed to spam FanShot. (if you dont have FanShot, use DoubleTap with occasional StoppingShot) Proceed to stay on Lok hunting down Snorbs. Give 3-4k xp. Become territorial when you see Snorbs, biting and gnashing your teeth at passer-by's.

Snorbs all the way from Novice Pistoleer to Master.

Creature Handler Pistoleer: Bah who cares about you, you can kill anything. /smack

Unfortunatly the game is so geared toward grouping that the only effective way of soloing to have a little ch, or at least a few pets. You could use faction pets if you don't want to go CH, or get a non CH pet like a cowardly gurrek or krevol, both are pretty good, just be sure they are trained with trick one and/or trick 2 and the group command.

If your resist CH completely you can do Banthas and Dewys on Tat, but it isn't great XP.

Dath - Baz Nitches and Karimuths are your bread and butter.

Lok - Snorbs!!!

Dant - Anything, just get ready to run. Alot.

I think I like hunting Dant best, the creatures are usually more spread out so you don't run into another aggro mob as your kiting. Dath probably has the best XP but it is hard to see and move around on Dath, and the MOBS are DENSE. Lok is pretty dense too, but I never really liked Lok. I prefer the other two. I hear endor is good as well, but I have a bad habit of dying everytime I step foot outside an outpost there so I avoid it.

I have CH at 1-1-0-0

I can use either a mountain dewback (hybird mount/tank 5.5k ham) and GSP's with 8k ham.

CH is just for lvling Pistoleer and now TKA. Its easy, fast, and you can run up hills

I just don't understand the subject to this post. There shouldn't be any easy way to getting Pistol XP. I think grouping and fighting on Dath has to be the best xp for me thus far, and Bolle Bols are really good too but kinda aggressive. I don't have a pet and if you want my opinion you don't need a tank, just learn how to fight and you'll be alright, and groups are the greatest as far as xp.

Strategies that have worked for me (No CH) at different levels

Early Pistoleer: 1) Bleed and Kite: Works well if you're buffed or have medical healing. Just hit the bleeds on the creature (or creatures) and try to stay out of their way. Works amazingly well with slower creatures (like Vir Vurs on Rori).

2) Bleed and Stand: Buffed is the way to go. Hit your bleeds and then use Kip Up shot. The DPS on this shot is amazing.

Mid Level Pistoleer: Try using your Kip Up shot and your bleeds in conjunction with the Pistol Melee Defense when a creature comes close. The PMD1/Stopping Shot can be an end game most times. Work your way up to fan shot.

"High Level" Pistoleer: Bleeds/Fanshot/Kip Up Shot. Avoid using your Fanshot in tight quarters or you risk attracting unwanted attention.

Tips at all levels:

1) Pay for the Buffing: Even if you have medical, if you're buffed it will make getting that XP a lot faster, and it's worth the potential offworld trip and 5-7k in costs.

2) Grouping: Higher difficulty missions with some great XP giving Mobs. If you're not getting the high XP in certain groups, use PMD1 just once. I've seen that raise my XP over 1000 when I'm being outgunned by other classes. Partnering up with a Doc that may need healing XP etc is also a great way to maximize BOTH your potential.

3) Your Weapon of Choice: Bring a pistol for all occasions. If you can a Republican Blaster (or scout) for energy, a DX2 for Acid and an FWG5 for Heat. Also try to get a gun that brings you as close as possible to the 1.0 cap on your weapon. It's great if your gun is doing mega damage, but if it's delay time is high then it's not worth it. As your Speed goes up, adjust your weapons accordingly for damage. Also always, always, always use a Min/Max Damage attachment. I buy them in the 100's. These add plenty of potential to your weapons.

Kam's are still around, I just haven't been drawing any missions for them. But they have appeared in the wild.

Maybe it's like the Snorbal fix.

Nah, the Democrat Blaster complains too much when you kill an animal and refuses to work full time (because of the picketing) and then it sleeps with your apprentice and lies about it.
