lmao with all those jedi starting skills costing only 1 point, i would dabble in some of those
also it just sounds funny to me that someone could be a dual-wielding commando/bounty hunter with force sensitive skills and can hunt jedi

no it would allow you to do blast damage and finally start to do some serious damage to high end mobs.
I must say that this is very unexpected to me and i almost fell out of my chair when i saw it. Everyone better get ready for pistols to become a serious force once again!

Last I checked fiery kd is in the BH carbine line.
Plus I dont think you understand how important "stun" is in pvp which you only get with last ditch.

Im smuggler0040 BH0040 Pistoleer0040 and novice commando... I plan on getting novice medic and droping commando for more defences or more in pistoleer.

I saw a nice template possible:
Master Pistoleer
Novice Commando (for launcher pistol)
BH 3040
Novice Medic (because I like medic)
I think I'll drop smuggler for few weeks and try with that, eye shot with launcher pistol must HURTS

Fire Knockdown is a carbine move and does NOT have a DoT element. Its a KD/Dizzy combo move. Found at BH Carbines 3.
TorsoShot is the fire DoT special and thats at BH Pistols 4

From what a pikeman friend tells me stun seems to have little or no effect on his ability to fight. The description says is lower some stats as well as defences, but he is missed just as often, blocks just as often and hits just as hard. Intimidate however, which according to the descriptions lowers chance to hit, makes him take more hits, block less, hit less and hit for less damage. So intimidate from novice brawler with bio clothing is a better move for PvP, since everyone wants to hunt jedi I think anything that reduces their attack ability with that unresistible damage type would be more valuable.
My friend does think that stun may have an effect on toughness in melee professions, but he has not yet tested it thoroughly, if it does effect toughness, it's not something we tcan take advantage of since toughness doesn't modify ranged damage.
Next, high end PvE. The launcher pistol isn't worth looking at. The vuln system is still broken. If something has heavy armour and a vuln to blast, you'll still take a 75% damage reduction for failing to pierce the armour, in many high end mobs such as NS Elders, you'll do more damage with a republic blaster simply because of the armour piercing despite being vuln to blast. Sorry.

Ooops, my bad. Guess it shows that I don't know much about bh cuz I always felt it wasn't worth the skill points. And last ditch doing stun is good, with the speed from bh and pistoleer you'll definitely speed cap with it. All in all I guess that would be a good template then.
