What you might also take into consideration with our templates is that we can always add +25 in pistol speed and accuracy mods to our armor.

Just read this entire post, personally im going Master Pistoleer, BH Pistols 4...but one thing which no one seems to realise here is:


Melee/Ranged defenses ARE capped currently at 125...check the dev stratics chat

I am migrating from Master Pistoleer/ Fencer 4440/tka2301/smuggler0040

to

Master Pistoleer/Master Fencer/TKA4300 or 4003/smuggler0040


My focus used to be on pistoleer but I am now considering the Kung Fu Stack (TKM/MBrawler/Fencer4440/Pistoleer0040), this stack has the best defenses against Knockdown/PostureChange/Dizzy, and we all know that besides Mind Poison (nerf now please) and headshots (gimme mind stims please, make mind the same as action and health), the combo of knockdown/dizzy and posture change/dizzy, is the same as an I win button. Added that a Master Brawler is more effective from 20m than the pistoleer, im very tempted.... and if the name Quai Chang Cain is not taken.....

im going for Master Pistoleer / Smuggler 0040 / Doc 0240


i buff and cure my own states ( dizzy, blind, intim. etc..) and i still do good dmg

so bascially the melee/def template is getting huge pluses to dodge, melee/ranged def and the ability to powerboost and heal wounds however whats lacking the most is pistol speed and last ditch hits random pools.


now lets see the bh/pistoleer skillsget decent dodge and a huge pistol speed bonus and accuracy bonusbut the biggest plus is eye shot which targets a specific pool.


Now with my geno blaster (3.0 spd 280dmg) to spam specials I would need atleast +90 pistol speed. The bh/pistoleer has this easy but the mel/def needs to get some serious skill tapes/plates to hit that but it is possible.


SO after this long post, I guess I am trying to say that if you think you can out shoot thier mind pool and hope they can't do enough dmg to you (hopefully you have 90% comp/buffed/etc.) and are not worried about constant wounds then bh/pistoleer is not a bad option. However having them miss you more often, power boosting, healing wounds and last ditch might just be the best bet.


I can only comment on the mel/def template and so far its working pretty well in PVP, however it takes me awhile to drop someone, can anyone with bh/pistoleer comment on how pvp is after the latest patch? Feel free to post your corrections, comments, etc.






I've done both templates exactly, and the jury is still out in my books as to which is the best. My worry is when they nerf the mind pool (publish 8), if the BH eye shot becomes a waste. My gut tells me BH/Pistol is better until publish 8 only...

re-grinding melee without using pistol bleeds would suck hard

I take back what I said, I dueled some guys in FIGHT tonight and learned that with a geo pistol you can't beat KD/Torso shot, it cuts through the armor and the fire will keep incapping you. Its pretty nasty, and I went down hard, even when spamming last ditch at almost the speed cap.


My only problem with dropping it all for pistoleer/bh pistol is how can you heal yourself/cure poison disease/heal wounds in a battle? with only 13 skill points left there isn't much left to invest in. Anyone have any thoughts?

For Torso Shot, Eye Shot, some Pistol Acc and Speed, and Meditate (power boost and fow also) and Geo Pistol Cert.

Personal opinion, but meditate to me wouldn't be worth losing range damage mitigation 3 and 64 dodge.
