Well, I am almost a Pistoleer and wondering what is the best all around Pistol to use? I see the Scout Balster is popular because the speed they have and the DX2 is making some noise on this forum. I am just wondering if one of this pistols is better of the others? I have not see a topic on this subject. Thanks for any information you all have.

Also im going to be a Commando and wonder where do you get Launcher Pistol on Kettemoor?

From memory... I have a 56-121 1.8 speed unsliced scout blaster, and a 47-152 1.9 speed unslicedFWG5. Damage may be off by 1-3 points on min/max but the speeds are correct (am at work, can't check). I find they're basically interchangeable for most opponents.

The mainthing I really like about the scout blaster though, is the low HAM cost of specials. For a longer fight, this really makes a difference if you're spamming bodyshot2. You canwear armor with heavier encumberance without really noticing higher HAM costs from your lower stats. The damage is very consistent on it, but you never really see a big "ooh that had to hurt!" hit with it.

The nice thing about the FWG5 is that it does heat damage, which is a vulnerability in many armor and some creature types. It'sgreat for one-shotting 'small game'or landing high damage bleeds to start a fight with a strong enemy. The down side is a high HAM cost on its specials. If you're tanking though, spamming bodyshot with an FWG5 is a good way to get incapped on action pool. Using a Quickness buffing food, and/or wearing lighter or no armor, is a good idea.

DX2's don't exist on my server yet, but they arebugged right now - the crafting process to make them is bugged because they require multiple power handlers. I'm sure they will turn out to be excellent weapons once the power handler bug is fixed.

I have an FWG5 and a Scout Blaster. I'm finding myself favoring the Scout Blaster though, mostly due to its low special attacks, as someone already mentioned.

Stats on the sliced scout blaster (no powerups):

60-122 damage

1.4 speed

Special action costs- Health: 11, Action: 23, Mind: 11

Its absolutely awesome for spamming special attacks if the situation calls for it. I'm looking forward to checking out the DX2 when it comes to Starsider.

I use a FWG5 sliced to 48-187 2.0 spd. I drop 30% action cost powerups on it and special the day away. Can nudge it to almost 240 damage with a 30% Damage powerup.

I use a 40-150 1.9 FWG5 and a 50-120 1.4 Scout Blaster both sliced interchangeably. I just now noticed how easy and good weapon power ups are to make and got my FWG5 down to 1.6 speed with the first powerup I made But I have heard that DX2 pistols do ALL acid damage which makes it nice against energy resistant monsters. BTW, is there anyway of checking what type of damage a weapon does?
