Thread: Pistol melee defense 2?
pistol whip is pistol melee defense 1
pistol smash is pistol melee defense 2
pistol whip is kd, while pistol smash is just a high damage melee attack. If you use pistol whip then pistol smash it's a very effective combination in close range.
What I wish they would add to pistol smash is stun or dizzy, that would be very effective.
Ok, just got it and was playing around last night and I have a question? Is pistol melee defense 2bugged, or is it's purpose completely different from PMD1?
I didn't knock down a darned thing with PMD2, and didn't get any message about my attack failing to knock the target down. I also didn't see any status ailments hit my target. The damage was ok (not as good as stopping shot though), but did I just have a bad night or is there nothing more to PMD2 then the damage boost?
PistolMeleeDefense2 is just another one of our many broken specials. It doesn't do anything useful. It costs a lot of HAM to use, just as if it was a knockdown, but it's not a knockdown. It causes no other state effect (stun, dizzy, blind, etc). The damage is okay but it's random HAM, only works from melee range, and has HAM costs.
It's basically complete junk, totally broken.

It's almost never worth using because it's limited to melee range, has very high HAM costs,is random HAM (not health-targeted), and does nothing else useful (like knockdown or dizzy).
I've asked the Devs to fix this -- no response yet.
