Thread: One macro
I seem to be 'stuck' using this macro, since it works better than the others, containing the roll shots and such.
/bodyshot2; /bodyshot2; /bodyshot2; /bodyshot2; /bodyshot2; /healdamage;
That one I initiate at range. The first 3 bodyshots draw them in. If they are white or yellow to me, then I can usually take a couple hits, while doing still more bodyshots, before I need to heal.
At point blank my macro is simply:
/bodyshot2; /bodyshot2; /healdamage;
I am an expert presently, (only 5k 'til Specialist, woohoo), and have not seen the real utility of the rollshots.
Thoughts?
currently, it's:
/bodyshot2; /healthshot2; /healthshot2; /healthshot1; /healthshot1; /bodyshot2; /bodyshot2;
because it was explained to me, and it seems to be true, that if you dot someone with a 250, then hit them with the same shot right after that for 300, the dot will be 300, however if you dot them for 200, the highest dot would be the one to continue.. now, I fire two shots just to see if I can get a good dot out of the two. Usually if I haven't adequately dot'd a target, I will cancel everything until I get the good dot going.. the secondary dot, the healthshot1, I pretty much accept that in any mid range damage. Then I follow up with bodyshot2 because it does a good dose of damage. The standing kipupshot I believe they fixed.
You will have to hit very low the first time for that to make sense. If you had used the time/HAM for a bodyshot you get 250 or whatever INSTANT damage, don't need to wait 3 minutes to reap the same potential damage boost.
Tonight I'm using
/healthshot1 /glowtrap /warningshot /bodyshot /bodyshot /warningshot /bodyshot /bodyshot
On even matches, It nearly never "fails", ie. I have to add bodyshots.
I dont use macros for combat. I find it much easier to adjust to different situations without them. Plus how hard is it to hit heartshot/bodyshot/bodyshot/bodyshot. hehe
Accually I tend to hunt yellows So I start at max range, take a prone postion, Aim, then heartshot/bodyshot/bodyshot/bodyshot /kipshot/ bodyshot ect.
sCypher: go to your commands panel, click macro, click new, and then start entering code into the editing pane. Look over the existing macros there, and posted ones here, you'll pick it up.
SmugglerFlux: thank you! I do have a bit of trouble with healing and multiple opponents.
SanTsu, it's not hard to hit a key sequence, no, but it is fun to 'tailor' macros to your style, abilites, and prey. It's like a small game within a game. Not to mention, with a good macro on the appropriate target, I can go get (or pass) more beer!
I have 2 macros I use most of the time...
I always open up combat with a Healthshot and hit them with stopping shots until they get into melee, thats when I use my two macros...
Macro 1:
/pistomeleedefense1
/bodyshot3
/bodyshot3
and...
Macro 2:
/pistolmeleedefense1
/stoppingshot
/stoppingshot
