Says that multi target shot targets mopre that one thing...I don;t think it does...

and it says fan shot hits a target more than once...

I think these 2 are reveresed...any confirmation

I have been using stopping sht and was curious if I should try something else out.

I've seen fanshot hit other targets, I'm pistoleer/CH so I can have multiple creatures attacking my pet. Believe me, that makes fanshot very handy (after a few mind shots to the first target so it falls first and I can retarget my pet).

Agreed. Fan shot will drop groups of mobs in no-time

FANSHOT!!!

MPS is completely hosed in my opinion ... multi does nothing more than normal damage, and will hit everything in 360 degrees with a tiny little hello tap (including a lair)

fanshot does pretty high damage, and is a cone attack. VERY useful, especialy with a pet.

Fan shot and multi target shot are for two completely different situations. Fan shot is used on a cone of enemies in one direction (good for fleeing with a mob gathered and chasing or attacking a lair if the mobs stand around it healing). Multi target shot is a hemisphere shot where all targets near youin a circle can be hit, good if you are surrounded in close range and can not flee. Both shots work well in their respective situations, but require some practice to use effectively as line of sight issues abound and the cone effect ends at the target, so best to aim for the farthest target tobe sure to hit them all.

Edit: Fanshot and double tap are the two specials with reveresed descriptions I believe.

stopping shot

fan shot will still hit anything else in its cone that is targetable, which will gain aggro on you, and stopping shot does more damage to a single target.

What other profs do you have? If it's just these 2 specials you want to know I would agree stopping for pvp. If you have other specials from say BH or Smuggler then my answer would be a little different.

i find fanshot does more output and feel quick than stopping shot. in pvp. Also get the smuggler kline, then you can use panis shot to delay .and last ditch to stun. dont forget your lo blow, pm1 bleeds.

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."
