Just got enough exp to get 1 of the starting skills, so which is best to get first?

go up the stances and grips line, thats where all our dmg lies.

I went up stances and grips all the way. I am very dissapointed that I spent all those skill points, and all that xp, for Fan shot. Fan shot is quick, but it doesnt seem to be much better than body shot 2. It should be waaaay better for 1.2 million xp. I think thats right on the xp anyway.

hmm,..I get anywhere between 500 and 1300 damage with Double-Tap

i got tactics 1 as my first skill. with my fwg (i have every type of pistol in a 25% or greator damage slice) and some with an additional speed slice. tactics 1 give the ability point blank single 2, which shoots VERY fast for low ham and high damage to a random pool, but you have to be within like less than 8 m or something to use it. I have hit as high as 1900 damage with my fwg5 (290 max w/ powerup) wioth it, but it damages random ham pools.

Do not let the numbers blind you to the facts: 1) Body Shot2 will lead to the death of any moderate HAM creature well in advance of anything in the Pistol and Grips line and 2) KipUp Shot and Rolling Shot have higher DPS than anything in the Stances and Grips line.

The numbers are cool to see floating above their heads, but you're paying a lot of xp to see those numbers as well as getting an opportunity to see it very often as the battle will last much longer while using them.

Actually using Double Tap, I get an average of 400-1200 too, and using it I get through Mobs twice as fast... So I dunno what you're talking bout it being slower... I like being a pistoleer, its fun and worth it to me. I am 0,0,3,1 pistoleer right now and a Novice Squad Leader... Supposedly I should be crying because both my Proffesions "suck"but... I am having lots of luck with them.

To each their own... And double tap so far is more useful then body shot to me...

marksman, the ability to shoot stuff while running is great.

Stopping shot isnt worth it... fanshot is faster, and better overall. Pistoleers need fixing... major. Right now its really true Pistol Marksman abilities are almost better then pistoleer which is just sad... but we'll get our fix dont worry we got to the devs realize this, and if it is the "fasteest" growning advanced profession" people will realize the problems... thus it will be fixed faster.
