Thread: Stepping down as Pistoleer Correspondent, it's been a good run

Well, my work has picked up to the point of having little free time now (a good thing!), and I can't keep up like I use to. I think that's reason alone to make way for some new blood in the pistoleer hot-seat. I'm also leaving SWG soon, so in either case I cannot continue.

I've absolutely LOVED the community here, I had no idea that many sane people visited game forums Sooo many people here have helped out and made the forums a fun place to visit, I can't express my thanks enough for having been a part of it. Special thanks toPhilosopher and Yeti , you guys helped out more than a little back when we thought we had an urgent reason to get it right, and get it out fast (then we realized that it didn't matter..sadly). We played quite the game on the forums...I think it was about as fun as any game in and of itself Drama, surprise, discovery, humor, hah, was fun.

I hope the FAQ and the top ten issues is plenty to carry over to the next correspondent, at least I leave a little behind for the next incarnation of the "pistoleer narc". Once again, thanks for all the PMs, the support, the goodwill, the insight, the testing, the analysis (Noules comes to mind..you maniac!), and for being part of the good fight we fought on the pistoleer frontlines. Keep givng Aldeon heck (kidding Aldeon) about rifles being overpowered and of course ask Wepps daily why pistoleers cannot use scatters, and I think all will be well (kidding of course). Good luck in the game everyone and may Dual Wielding and Holsters and Twirly thingsfind their way to a galaxy near you (after specials are fixed of course!!! yuck, yuck)

Best,

Jaegen88, I am sure you are leaving for valad reasons, but do you think when the fgw5 is about to get the ol' nerf bat is the best time for you to leave? I think that right now is when the pistoleers need a voice the most.

Im not deamnding you to come back, thats not my place, and I do know that there are alot more things that matter alot more than this game, still, your voice will be missed during this time.

good luck to you.

Good job keeping it together while you could Jaegan. I certainly would never have wanted all that responsibility with so little reward. You took the heat in the forums for us, you fought hard for us...it's sad to see you go. I know how you feel about the game though. My account stands unused for weeks now. Not really fair to the PA I started...but there you have it. Hopefully I'll see you around...maybe we'll bump into each other in an as yet unnamed, unlaunched MMORPG in the future.

BEST. CORRESPONDENT. EVAR.

Hopefully, SOE will be right on the ball and get a replacement correspondent lined up in, oh, 4 months or so.

Thanks Jaegen!

You set a high bar for what a correspondent can do, and you'll be a tough act to follow.

Sorry to see you leave SWG. Good luck wherever you go, and take care!

You were a more competent correspondent than the developers were at their jobs. It's a shame you couldn't stay to see any fixes go through. I would never have believed so much time could go by without anything being done. I think this game needs to be officially called a POS and left behind all of us. Good luck to Jaegen.
