Use fanshot.

yeah, either your guns sucks or you're using the wrong moves...

I have a nice FWG5 and I shoot for 1000+ usually every second with Fan shot

You must be using the default attack, there's no way on god's green earth you would hit for so low otherwise.

Get a different gun and use Stopping Shot and Fanshot. I usually hit between 1200-1800 in PvE, and 2500-3000 if they are knocked down with Stopping Shot. Fanshot does slightly less damage and is faster than Stopping Shot, but be careful you don't agro a whole bunch of other angry mobs.

How the freak you can compare dmg between a Commando and a Pistoleer is beyond me...

Damn even when I was climbing the pistols branch in marksmanI stopped using the standard attacks. Why shouldI go back to using the standard attack with novice pistoleer. We get ourspecials for a reason so wenot use them. It is funny-sad when other elite professionsyell at each other in game because someonedid x more damage thenthey did.

Exampletwo novice pistoleers with 2/3/4/2, both same distance from lair one just uses standard attack other uses doubletap, as example. Both score hit both do damage just onedid alot more damagethen the one that attacked with the default/standard attack, so the one who did lessdamagestarts screaming that the other is cheatting some how... Sad but happend to me the other night while running around near tyrena.

Where do these people come from? Are they clones?

You do want to be careful using Fanshot though. You want to make sure that you are not unintentionally hitting other targets (like lairs, for example).
