Has anyone heard about a mind-flame pistol? I've seen it mentioned here and there in the last couple days, and am wondering if it exists and where one would manage to find one if it does.

Certain weapons drop that have a mind DOT, but I have never heard of a mind flame. I think that flame damage by its very design hits the health bar. I have seen some nice mind DOT pistols for sale, but they are few and far between, not to mention very expensive.

An imp on my server has a rifle with mind fire that seems to wound as much if not morethan a flame thrower.

And Janta's on Dantooine drop mindfire stone knives with moderate frequency. Always fun for a smuggler (who has to have novice brawler) to use that stone knife cert to set fire to someones brain.

I'm glad to be wrong!! I would love to snag a pistol with a mind fire then. I wonder where I can find one.

I have one myself, fire DoT to the mind, a DL44 Metal pistol. It's definitely not some uber-133t loot that you can only get from killing a Dark Jedi or something. I believe I got mine from a minor Imperial minion from a level 12 or so faction mission.

Thx, I'll have to start running some faction missions as well as normal ones then.

Yea a holo-grinder friend of mine looted THE mind fire pistol off a Dark Jedi Master....It is freaking insane...He doesn't even have Pistoleer and he can dominate PVP if he uses that gun...Within a a minute or so the targets mind pool is 75% wounds...BTW, he is about to do BH and Pistoleer...IMPS beware of the Fan Shot...

I was shot with one in PVP, it was burn damage done to mind at 400pts a tick needless to say i got my 3 incaps and a trip to local cloning center.
All in all, its very painfull so WEAR A HELMET!!!
