Thread: The Movie Equilibrium: Man, if Pistoleers could be as cool as Grammaton Clerics

Just saw this movie, and I was floored. It was ingenious to come up with the "gun katas" and to see how the clerics performed was just amazing. Yes, I realize dual wield is unlikely, but even with a single pistol, if somehow these "forms" could be implemented, it'd make EVERYONE wanna be a marksman type. Anyone else see the movie that has a comment?

Not a bad flick. Too bad there probably won't be any John Woo dual wielding pistoleers in the game. =(

It was a good movie but way underrated, it was crap at the box office.

saw it in theatres and own the DVD! :->

It would be cool if our special attackes boosted the "dodge" ability :->

Not to mention a multi target gun melee attack!

Ahh... what a great film.

Yes, it was a great movie, though if I remember correctly, the reason it failed at the box office was becausei t was release at the same time as Spider-Man, so no one ever heard of it.

It also helped that all the bad guys in the movie just sort of stood there while the clerics blew them away or beat them senseless with their pistols.

Hey, at least the clerics made good use of pistol whip

Yeah, that movie was perhaps the greatest movie as far as Gun-Fu goes...ever....

The top pistol should have some sort of spike hilt like the grammaton's gun.

And semi/auto flip switch.

And I want their outfit. The black one, not the retarded white one. Oh....if only we could all be of the Grammaton Order....

Yeah I wanta Grammaton Cleric slot. You all can have the FS slot I'd settle for just being able to dual wield pistols, but yup, Equilibrium is a great flick. Too bad Cristian Bale didnt play Neo.

Yeah I LOVE the "extreme pistol whipping" scene where he cracks the faceplate of one of the soldier's helmets! That was a lot of whipping.

it feels as if somebody let the cat out of the bag on this movie i loved it. bought it. Best part had to be the pistol duel at the end, was sorta like a sword fight with pistols, very very cool. Movie is a cult classic, but in the end its 1984+Fahrenheit 451.

EVERYONE should rent or buy this flick.

Oh, a news flash: I was reading up about Equilibrium, and what the ending was supposed to have been. Get this: originally, they wanted Father and Preston to fight, doing the same moves at the same time, so that the bullets would hit each other! Sounds like that would've been neat, as well.

Man, the more I think about the movie, the more we need a pistol whipping attachment that goes "snikt" when you move in!
