Ok this is just my idea since it seems like forever there has been whispers of dual wielding among Jedi and Pistoleer's so this was my idea, also everyone has there ideas on it and I would like to have a thread where we can see who agree's/disagree's and post there ideas on a system for dual wielding anyways here it goes.....
Requirements
-Must have each weapon same damage type
(Kinetic or Energy)
-Neither weapon may contain elemental damage
(To avoid stacking of elemental and to not send AS screaming since PSG's wont be bought as much)
Idea
Ok so you have 2 weapons equiped a primary and a secondary to make things easier the primary will be called the P weapon and secondary will be called the S weapon. Since it is very hard to factor in 2 sets of damage from 2 differnt guns firing from the same person the system would work like this....the S gun's attributes (Damage, Speed, Wound Chance, DPS, SAC) will be divided by a percent between around 25%-50% (Depending how you the community or the devs see fit, in this post I will use 50% as my divider) wich will then be added to the P guns attributes
EX:Lets say we have 2 identical guns (Its easier to figure out this way and easier to demonstrate)
P Gun(All base stats)
Speed: 2.0
Damage: Min 400 Max 900
Wound Chance: 8%
DPS: 350
SAC: 65
S Gun(All base stats)
Speed: 2.0
Damage: Min 400 Max 900
Wound Chance: 8%
DPS: 350
SAC: 65
The S gun will be divided by 50%
Speed: 1.0
Damage: Min 200 Max 450
Wound Chance: 4%
DPS: 175
SAC: 33(Rounded Up)
Then Added to the P gun
Speed: 2.0+ 1.0 = 3.0
Damage: Min 400(+ 200) Max 900(+ 450) = Min 600 Max 1350
Wound Chance 8% + 4% = 12%
DPS: 350 + 175 = 525
SAC: 65 + 33 = 98
Final Stats of combined guns (C gun's)
C Gun's
Speed: 3.0
Damage: Min 600 Max 1350
Wiybd Chance: 12%
DPS: 525
SAC: 95
Conclusion
This idea has its advantages and its disavantages namely power for the advantage but speed and sac for the disadvantage (Migitated by skill/tapes/buffs/pups) Anyways this is just my idea and would like to hear opinions on it and hear other peoples ideas aswell

Why don't they just create a graphic that shows you holding two pistols, but it is really one gun. That way you can choose to buy guns that are either single or duel wield weapons. So you could hold two FWGs instead of one. The animation for firing could either have alternating bolts or two shots at once.

I ahve posted this before.They could give you a weapon hinderance of rifle, lower you acc and speed but you get the damage or like you said as far as damage goes but still lower our attack speed,accuracy, and give use slower movement.

I would have one of these threads already but I can't see it happening in the near future.
If I ever get a hint that it may be possible then I'll get a concept thread going.

Considering Pistoleer is the redheaded stepsister of ranged professions(barring smuggler), I would have to agree with Badger, so keep dreaming, besides aren't there some other issues like getting stopping shot degimped that many of us would like to see first?

Yeah, first things first, but feel free to bat about some ideas on "the use of two pistols at once".

That's not good since there will surely be hundredsmore "Dual Wield/Drool Wield/Duel Wield" threads posted in the next year or so that you will have to respond to before devs give us some love

I agree with just changing the graphics idea. I cant imagine SOE doing the math to make the 2 pistols delieve the damage equally without causing someother unexpected bug.

Yea I highly doubt it will happen soon or quite possibly ever BUT Ranger and SL got a Revamp and quite honestly if smuggler does my hopes may just go up lol

accualy ive given it a lot of thought and if they allowed it just wielding so and it would be 2 seperate weapons firiing at their normal speed and mormal damage with like a 20% reduction to the damage from teh off hand pistol it would totaly compensate for any overpowering because as good pistolers we already poor through action like theres no tommorw and with 2 weapons sucking our action down it would be a great benifit but only if we kill em fast lol

While we're at make sure we get a horse to ride on named Ned which we can shoot off the back of then gallop away firing aimlessly into the air in a drunken stupor while spitting chewbacca all over the place, oh oh and a double barrel shotgun for close encounters
