Saw another post with this 360 screenshot in it and decided to update it and add a few comments meself. First off, here's the shot http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/media/qtswg/bothan_male.htm. If for some reason it doesn't load for you, go to the main page, click Gallery, click 360 Screenshots, then click the Bothan Male one. It show's clearly a double holster belt with 2 pistols in it (pistols are a little harder to spot). If they had this pre-release, they why not now a few months after release? Unless of course that screenshot isn't actually an in-game shot, but who knows. Another thing ya can spot in the background (almost straight ahead of the Bothan) is a landspeeder. Personally I'm not really worried about vehicles much at all since we're getting them this month anyways (or so they say), but once again, this is a pre-release screen so I suppose the only real explanation is that there were many bugs with the vehicles which had to be delayed. Anyways, sorry to bring up the whole holster/dual pistol thing AGAIN, but just wanted to give those who are eager a look at what may come...hopefully. Personally I'd rather see them fix the problems with Pistoleer before making us look all snazzy with dual pistols, holsters, etc. Anyways, enjoy the shot!

Your saying this screenshot was taken before release? In beta??


The vehicals is nothing big, the models have been ingame for a while. But the double pistols and holsters is HUGE. Anyone have any info on this?

Yes sir, I remember that 360 shot dating back to sometime in 2002 I believe, and so if there WAS bugs with the drawing animation of the pistols or such, it should have, in theory, been fixed by now and in-game. I've been around this game and these boards for awhile now, and even though I may not remember what I ate for breakfast on Wednesday, I know that screen is a pretty darn old one. Will try and dig up some info on it more, but as far as I can remember the dev's have kept very quiet on the whole holsters and dual wielding subject. Only thing I can remember about dual wielding that the dev's said is that the reason there is no dual wielding is that they planned to use the left hand as the "use" hand (for stimpacks and such) and the right hand as the weapon hand. Anybody else posting more info would be much apreciated.

I remember that post about the "use hand" bull**edit**. Never saw this picture, but that might have been before my time. I think we should post this in the SWG Discussion forum and see what the devs have to say. You want to post it, or should I?

I'll go post it if it's not a problem, will just copy and paste what I originally typed, and add the whole thing about the "use hand". Hopefully we can get some more clarity on this whole subject. Gotta say, I'm kinda surprised how fast people have responded and how some think it's an epiphany type thing (ok, well maybe not to that extent, but you get the idea).

Me on auto follow=Fast responses to threads . I dont see it as an epiphany, I just would like to know why this was taking out of the game.

Heh, I know, I'm followin it closely too. The whole epiphany thing was just an over-exageration, I tend to do that sometimes. Anyways, I'll let you post it on the SWG Disucssion forum since I'm havein some trouble for some reason, plus tryin to do about 4 things at once lol.

Well, this could be a few things. It could have caused too many problems, and they had bigger fish to fry. It could have been overbalancing. It could have been a specific belt with the image of 2 holsters for effect, but they weren't actually used.


As for the landspeeder, the image has been in the game for a while. And it could have been a vehicle as well; they've existed for a while, they just weren't ready for realease.

I know what ya mean, there could've been some graphical problems, plus some quickness of the draw/shot problems. But otherwise I don't really see any problem with dual pistols really. I mean, if we're Master Gunfighters, or somesuch, we should be able to use two guns. It wouldn't be too too hard to animate I don't thing, and as for damage balance and such, it's not like we're exactly ahead of the game when it comes to damage output. Meh, just thinking again, will try not to hurt meself. Btw, post the link to the post on the SWG discussion forum when ya get to posting it please, would like to read the responses it gets.

Good stuff, thanks for posting it, and furthermore thank you for mentioning me KolTaggar, ya really didn't have to. Should be very interesting to see what the rest of the SWG community has to say about it, especially the devs.
