Thread: Template advice...

Since I changed so far 3 times my template waisting 1'600'000 Jedi Exp I would like to know what do you think about my last creation..


-Master Lightsaber

-Enhancer 0-4-0-4

-Heal 2-2-0-4

-Novice Defender

-Power 0-0-2-0


Tell me what you think and what should I change in your opinion...thnx for your time guys

First, accademy only has one "c" in it. Now that the grammer police have done their business...


Go up to 3xxx in healer, and i'd do 4xxx over the heal wounds line. a 500 point heal is worthless as it takes so long of a delay.


I would drop your novice def and your power line and get some force run. I know this will sound like every other template, and I applaud you for trying something different, but the nov def and 0020 powers won't get you anywhere.

Advice needed please....


I always been a PvE player and hung around in groups helping nOObs... but finally decided I want to finish a template and get involved in group PvP more, while still PvE'in (i enjoy groups rather than soloing)... so all the caps, bonuses etc are all new to me at a high level


So my question is, which is the best template to choose....


I am currently master pistoleer with Dirty Fighting 4


should I master fencer and use spare points on other skills.. say TKA meditiation and another TK tree


or should I go TKM with Fencer 3-0-4-0


or any other opinions?


Any tips and explanations appreciated!

I'd go TKM with fencer 3-0-4-0 if I were you. With that template you get the main advantage of fencer, the defenses, plus the offensive power of TKM. Once you master TK you'll see a huge jump as your speed maxes out and you get their strongest attack. TKM's can also focus on different pools while fencer can only focus on the health pool. You might need to change your template after the Combat Revamp but for right now this is the way to go.

Well, my friend has the Pistoleer/Rogue/Master Fencer template with the rest in TKA med and defenses.


I had the Pistoleer/Rogue/TKM template with the Duelist line in Fencer.


I would normally beat him in duels unless we went all melee and he used his stun baton. With 90% kinetic resist composite, PSG's, and food, the TKM does very little damage.


I have pistol speed attachments that put me at the speed cap on all specials, and some very nice pistols, so if my melee is not coming through in PVP or duels, I would just go ranged, and very rarely lost, unless a combat medic got me, of course.


I don't know if this helps at all, both templates are good, but I think the pistol/fencer template is better for PVP, and the pistol/TKM is better for PVE.


If you can get an acklay stun baton, a high damage geo blaster, pistol speed mods, and a good COB macro, the pistoleer/fencer template will be hard to beat.

I am Master Pistol, Master TKA, 4-4-4-0 Fencer.


I win way more than I lose.


I know there are variations on the theme...and I have considered switching to 0-0-4-0 BH and 0-0-4-0 smuggler (taking from some fencer and tka) but have not done so yet.

I need help with my template... I'm going 0404 sabers, and Master powers (for RP)... I was fooling around on a calculator but just can't figure out where to go from there... I figured I'd ask for advice. I need to have Powers for Roleplaying though, and I don't neccesarily expect to win every fight, but I'd like to have somewhat of a chance.

Any ideas?

I'm going to do one of these two:


MLS/MD/Heal4100


or


LS0404/MD/Enh4004/Heal4100


Any suggestions on which is better and why? Thnx!

I'd say grind teh first one just to make a the best LS you can then regrind to the second template. the second template offers you a lot more options & tactics than the first one. Your first template believe it or not even if you have a godo LS you could end up getting owned by a skilled BH much less another jedi, & in the first template you have NO means of escape which is impoetant if you like to PVP & you get outnumbered3 or more to 1.
