Where do you get this? I see it in my guidebook, but I've never seen it on sale in a vendor. I assume it's a quest item.

It is a loot drop from Nekrosis.

I like this gun. I farmed Necrosis till I got one with very nice stas, then damage sliced it and damage puped it.


It has 90 SAC so you're not going to be doing much with it other than spamming ranged shot while your action goes up.


On high CL targets, ranged shot with my Deathrain does more damage than Body Shot with my FW FWG5.

Did you? I remember looking at my wall of every pistol in the game that resides in my guildhall when writing the "Making more pistols useful" thread and thinking "these can't all be useless".


So I took a few guns out for a spin and found the Deathrain very useful. Thanks if that was your idea.

There had been a post and someone mentioned the Deathdrain wasn't useful because of the SAC, I inserted that despite that fact it has the highest minimum among pistols and could very well be useful in fights with say Master Defenders.

What is the damage slice cap on this one? Is it worth going full damage slice or would you only do a partial damage slice and then maybe a partial crit slice?


What would be the perfect slice for this weapon?I do need something to use against those defenders that just want to stand there and regen force.

That just made me drool.


I use a Featherweight with a 550 modded DPS, but the damage on this thin just looks awesome. How long did it take for you to get it from Necrosis?

Has anyone done testing on the slicing? the max slice percent before you can't slice it up anymore? is 8% damage the max?

8% dmg is max slice...


and pistol's slice to 30 points from crafted damage cap from what i have seen

Max Speed = 12%
Max Damage = 8%
Max Critical Strike Chance = 10%

Common slices are 12% Speed, 8% Dmg/2% Spd/3% Crit, and 10% Critical.
