I am aware that there are other petitions for this, but they have all seemed to die down. I would like to start another to once again get the devs attention on the subject.
Holsters - Pistoleers need holsters!
How they should work probabbly -- When a pistol is equipped, it is in the holster, but when a toon attacks, the gun is drawn and he/she fires away!
Please sign, i believe this is a very important element for pistoleers.

Riflemen and Carbineers want slings, Swordsmen and Fencers want sheaths, etc. We're not alone in this. Everyone seems to be in agreement that it would make a nice touch, but isn't a high priority at the moment.
There is a technical challenge of making them look right when the character is on the move, and positioning the weapons so that they don't poke the character no matter what they have chosen for the character model. It's the same thing with capes. They've made Darth Vader run in their own simulations, and he looks like an idiot. The cape isn't animated yet, it just sits there like a sheet of concrete.
Whatever they do, a Bothan is going to look ridiculous with a T-21 slung over his back.

Please devs fix the specials before devoting resources to cosmetic things like holsters!
I would love to have holsters, it would be very cool. But if it is a choice betweencosmetic and gamemechanic fixes, I vote for the game fixes.

Actually, as soon as real discussion on this starts, I'd like to see things like boot holsters or the hold-out blaster holster that Mara Jade had on the inside of her forearm. No reason we have to stick to the old fashioned hip holster.
Of course for the forearm holster, we'd need hold-out blasters, but they might not be much fun in a game like this. They are basically compact, powerfulpistols with very limited ammunition in the power pack, say no more than 6 shots. The advantage is definitely supposed to be concealment. Right now in SWG you can walk around carrying a rocket launcher and nobody thinks anything of it.
