Thread: Better than Biz Natch?
hey pistoleers with knockdown...is there any better exp than these little fellas? cuz i assume that knockdown will be nerfed soon and we should use this time wisely i.e. get **edit** loads of exp while we can! ....so if you got something thats better exp than baz nitch, post here
Pubams on Endor.
Pubams got me about half of my TKA tree (I am a Master), and I am trying them out now that I am Novice Pistoleer (well,I will be tomorrow once I get trained). At near Master TKA they gave over 5000 exp for the hard ones (i.e. most of them). They almost all have armor class zero and few resistances. They hit hard, but they knockdown easy because they are NPCs and not creatures (you can't harvest them). Loot is 300-800cr per Pubam, usually, which really adds up. Lair rewards are in the 6k range.
Right now, because I don't have Pistol Whip, I use my TKA abilities to handle them. Knockdown/Dizzy/Stun/Blind and then Knockdown when necessary. All the rest of the time I spam Chest Shot. Although the exp does get split up (I will get about 2000 unarmed exp, which I do not need any more of, and 2000 pistol exp for killing one this way), it is still pretty **edit** good for not having Pistol Whip. When I do, all the damage will be from the pistol and I will be getting max exp for something that I can take down in undera minute (as a TKA) and probably in 1-2 mins as a Pistoleer with a box or three.
Warning Shot is your friend. Here's the tactic:
1. Start at 60-64m of course. Get your Health Shot(s) on the thing right off, so they can start working.
2. Then start with the Body Shots or whatever attack you currently target health with, I only have Body Shot 2 at the moment.
3. When the GBN hits about 30m, start kiting back with it (don't have to, just advisable).
4. Warning Shot the thing, and keep Warning Shot going till it turns. (I need 1-3 of them to actually stick it, YMMV.)
5. Hit /peace right away! After you Warning Shot something, if you shoot it again, it will turn right back around on you! If you /peace, it will run for quite awhile!
6. Give chase to the GBN, but let it gain on you, out to about 50m+.
7. Return to Step #2.
That's the right way to yo-yo kite. I'd guess I drop one in about 90 sec - 2 min, but I can't hit for more than about 300. Now that I have Health Shot 1 & 2, that's another 400+ every 20 seconds, but I'm looking at getting a stronger gun next.
The GBN will not assist each other, you can sit on the nest and kill them one at a time.
This is the exact type of thread we need on this forum. Baz Nich are to hard to hunt now that Dathomir is more laggy then Tantooine.
This is no word of a lie, i used to do these missions 3 weeks ago making 10K a mission and a nice chunk of XP however now that it takes 10-15s just for the terminal to refresh its not worth it.
The part that pisses me off the most is that the people are only killing the lairs and not the Baz's. Sure its an easy 10K, but **edit** is it freaking annoying that I and many other combat classes depend on creatures like this to level...we can't kill Rills and Worts forever.
Can we get a general idea of where these creatures are that your posting?
Personally I hunt those strange alien looking things on Talus (not sure the name sorry)...sort of part insect, part human looking creatures, they have 2500 HAM, hostile, but are not social, get in the area of 1500xp per kill and I can kill them in 3 - 4 double taps (FWG 41-177 @ 1.6s). They can be found all around Talus (I hunt NW of Deric)
You man the things that look like praying mantisis?
The giant ones are aggro, but the queen isnt. They do hit for posion every once in a while though *shudder*.
Pubams assist each other, as so do all other high level mobs I have seen. I guess that's why everyone hunts GBN.
This is great information, my pistoleer is currently 0-0-1-0 but I hope to be master one day ... its just taking F O R E V E R.
Where are mountain squills and GBN's found?
