Just wanted to point out....

I am a Master Brawler and a Expert Swordsman.

My friend is a adv. Pistoleer with Pistol Whip 1.

We have dueled a ton of times (melee duels) and no matter what I do he will beat me.

I dont know about you but a range guy... in no way should be able to take on a melee guy in a melee duel!

At least at my status as Master Brawler and Expert Swordsman.

I feel like I have wasted my time on my guy.... Maybe if I wanted to be a melee guy I should have become a Pistoleer.....

PVP is broken on so many levels right now. Look at what they are doing to the poor Creature handlers. Crying for the nerf stick now is uncalled for. When knockdown resists(or any of the other one)actually work, PVP should be better.

I really hope your name didnt come from DAOC.

I dont know that much about pistoleer just wanted to learn more. And I just brought up the fact that he is better in melee then me.

Can this be confirmed by all master brawlers? Maybe your just not very good at using your specials. I know I had this problem with my pistol skills until i did some experimenting.

It is just that you cant do anything in def. to a pistoleer up close when he has pistol whip.

Just doesnt seem right that a melee guy can get dominated by a range guy when in up close.

I have tryed to get the first hit off but never works lol.

Oh an conidering it only takes 1 hit for most melle classes to kill you, live with it.

If you can get that hit off...

granted this is in a duel where you are waiting for the other person to attack you.

Battlefield is a whole different story.

Where do you learn the pistol whip skills? I'm not in front of the game and I was curious.

No offense, but its not pistol whip's fault you aren't getting the first attack of. Right now the first attack is the entirity of PvP pretty much...

I believe its under the Combat Exp tier. lvl 1 then you get a lvl 2 at expert with Combat Exp.

if you are going to do melee battles, dont gimp yourself and not get a knockdown of your own

its a tier 1 in tka

pistol whip doesnt need gimping, resists to knockdown needs fixing
