Thread: Quenker HAM Doubled. What to kill now?

Publish 9 heralded a revamp of our old favourite, the quenker. Once upon a time in a galaxy far far away these things used to have a range attack but this stopped some time ago. This patch was set to address certain mobs who were not using specials.
Now they have an acid based spit attack, which can be quite nasty to anyone not buffed and armoured.
To top that off since Quenkers were at the top of the most killed mobs list they have doubled the HAM of each one. As you would expect the rate of experience has not increased.
This leaves the question open...what do we kill now that quenker experience has become less then optimal?
I'd like to hear your thoughts on this one and if you have them, the mob name, the location, the experience, resists and specials etc.
Be warned though, many mobs you previously killed may now prove troublesome.

I started doing Huurton Huntress missions, never looked but I think they still have the same HAM. Still kicking out 3500 xp each.

Yes hurton huntreses always were my opld stand by. See used to be huntresses had 9k+ham and savage quenkers had 4k+ ham and hurton huntresses had lower resist than the savaghe quenkers but quenkers went faster at the lower HAM so I guess its time to go back to Hurton huntresses if the HAM is now the same.

Giant Baz Nitches are always the old favorite 
11k missions on Dathomir, and as long as you have either low blow or supressive fire, they can be kited easily

Hurton Huntresses do good for me. I get about 4400 from each one (grouped), I think. I've been getting two missions (couldn't even get a Savage Quenker mission last night, but got two Huntress missions), heading out, and killing everything in sight that I'm capable of killing. If I run out of stuff, then I head in to get more missions. Didn't have to come back to town last night until it was time to log and got about 200k XP in an hour or so (Was working on TK, though. Just using pistol to take down the runners.)

Tortons on Rori are good for it, got all my pistol XP for master smuggler from them; 3k a pop and 3.5-4k for the lairs if you're grouped with a pet or whatnot, they're relatively easy and don't DB. HealthShot2coupled withPistolMelee1and the stance lowering special from the ranged tree in marksmangets them easy enoughand if you're buffed you can take them out extremely easily.

Quenkers are still easy and don't have a ranged attack - only the savage Quenkers do.
I tried them last night. Savage Quenkers were quite tough with their acid shot (with my very average Ubese, they would do about 100 points of random HAM per shot) and gave about 3900 exp (I was grouped). Their HAM was about 6,000 IIRR.
Regular Quenkers would give about 3,300 exp, had no ranged attack, and had about 4,000 HAM. They were a VERY easy lair.
Huurton Howlers are tougher, but could be dealt with.

As a Novice Pistoleer I was doing Pikets, using only HealthShot 2

Use fanshot on a piket lair while you have a pet or a friend attack the lair in order to take agro and get all the MOB's out. Then just watch the xp flow in by the thousands...

I'll update the guide to say Savage Quenkers now have a ranged acid attack and more HAM.

I would say Baz Nitches on Dath. The only thing that sucks is aggro'ing other fiersome mobs on that planet. You can't run 100m without running into agro, red-con mobs everywhere. make sure you're buffed. The mission payouts will more than pay for your buffs and travel expenses.
