Yesterday I decided that I would do some pvp. Now I am not quite Master Pistoleer 2244 is what I am now. Anyways I went out to go have some fun and for lack of a better word I got my ass kicked every single damn time! Anyways is there some good news that will make me survive in pvp? I plan on going Master Pistoleer with the 3/0/4/0 BH template.

Any tips that I can get to be a succesful pvp person? I love to pvp but it seems like I get worse and worse everyday and I sure as hell know that I dont want to go with RM/CM. So any tips that someone can give would be great

first tip (generic) have good food/drink/buffs. These make all the difference in most cases.

second tip (generic) try and get with a good group, a well rounded group can do very well.

third tip most people in pvp are masters of something and have complimenting professions, don't expect to beat them until you are also a master of something.

I USED TO take Defense Stacker 2....do you?

Ok what are the best mind buffs to get? Yesterday I saw someone with almost 2500mind! So what can I get besides muon gold. I'm a complete newbie when it comes to buffs

The good news is that you will beat the tar out of theMaster Entertainer/Dancer/Image Designer templateevery single time you battle it out.

Once you get master, you will be able to spam fanshot at a decent rate. Couple this with a good geo blaster + powerup, good armor, buffs, vaserian brandy, synthsteak, thakotillo (sp?) and you'll do much better. Keep moving and stay out of melee range. I'm also a master smuggler and usually start off wiht low blow and then mix fanshot and last ditch.

Maybe, just MAYBE, if i had the BH pistol tree I would be able to hold my own in PVP. I simply CANNOT beat a RM/TKM no matter what. I have nov medic, and I'm a master pistoleer smuggler 0040 commando 2030.

Even fully buffed with brandy and muon gold the RM/TKM will own me, and I have 20% stun armor with 90% base resists and encumbrance of only about 600/600/600.

My pistol is a good one, a Geo Blaster 1.8 speed 150-500 damage, and while I can MAYBE get their health down to about 3/4 or sometimes 1/2, they will still eat my mind like butter.

Thats why I say I might need the BH 0040 line so I can shoot at their head.

Anyone have any suggestions for me? Should I be hitting the Synthsteak? Do I need to buy an Imperial PSG with 40% stun resists? Whazzuuh?

get some great armor at least 80% res.. if possible get a helmet with stun protection (mine has 37%) then get all buffd up including a mind buff.. drink 2-3 brandys(get some good canape also(mind food))and make sure you have a good gun (a geo with at least 250dam is good enough) then youre all set for pvp.. In a raid last night I held my own quite well killing 4 people and never dying.

Doc buffsare for everything but theblue colored lines ( check your Ctrl+c to see what I mean). If you check the Doctor forum, they can give you more details. I'm a master dancer. I buff the just your mind (first blue line only). I can double it for just over 2 hours (without SEAs etc). So if your mind is at 1100 normally, I would make it 2200 for over 2 hours. Now pop some brandy ora muon( watch for downer) or some vercuppti ( sp? gives your HAM an extra 1128 for 7 min with no downer like pixie). So if you start with 1100+buff for 1100=2200+ 2 brandy for 800= 3000+muon(if needed)=3400+ powerboosting if you can= nearly 4000. These stats depend on what you start with of course and the strength of the brandy, etc. of course. It's fairly easy to get your mind up. Even without a buff.

I"ve heard that if your the same faction and if overt, you can get an extra 25% on the buff but I've never personally done this.

Musicians buff your focus and your willpower (last 2 blue lines). Willpower is what helps your mind regen. The higher it is the faster it regens. Again, you can augment this with the extras.

General things to keep in mind when getting an entertainer buff: You have to /watch (or listen) to start the buff and /stopwatch ( or listen) for the buff to take effect. You won't notice any changes until you /stopwatch or listen. Some people take 8-10 min to do the buffs, if they don't do the speed buff. I do a speed buff but with the new pub, it now takes 2 min at least instead of one. I'm still playing with my macro to get the timing down.

Prices for both types of buffs go between 4k (what i charge) and 10k on my server (starsider).

One last thing: A few entertainers are experiencing some problems with their buffs due to the new publish. I had one buff that lasted 40 min instead of my usual 2 hr and 7 min! I was NOT happy. That was with me buffing dress on that has my SEAs. Please be patient while we make the transition. We should all be fine soon. Just a matter of figuring the timing.

Well, I hope that was a help to you! send a pm or cross-galaxy tell if you need any more info. I'll do what I can. Our dancer board welcomes questions as well.

Good luck to you!
