Thereare a lot of things that we would rather be able to do than dual wield.

Some motion capture was done, and we may see it in the indefinate future (read : next year), other than that.. what Uthyr said.

Not wanting to bring back this 'on-going urban-legend', but my thoughts were...
*Master Smug ability similar to Fan-shot called...ala...Duel Wield...
*Increase arc/area of effect of Fan-shot and apply other appropriate combat variable advantages/disadvantages...
*Have a special motion-sequence that shows your avatar pull out another pistol...most likely a dupe of the one your wieldin'...but not really
*But most importantly...So nobody goes on a 'nerf witch hunt'
...It justs involves the pistol your wielding...

Like what?
We asked for fixed specials and well... Instead of fixing our specials they took them all away and replaced them with a couple generic specials.
Dual Wielding would be the one thing that will help define pistoleer and seperate us from dabblers and RM/Carbineer -- Granted its a MP skill, which it should be.

All our specials were pretty useless pre CU so I'm glad we got a new working set.

Pre-CD we had some nice specials. We had the melee-range KD, health shot 2, stopping shot, fan shot and a few others... Before they nerfed bleeds we also had health shot 1.
And if you were going full combat we also had torso shot, eye shot, bleeding shot, last ditch, panic shot among a few others.
Pre-CD, pure pistoleer users had more specials than any other combat professian, and useful specials at that which made us unique.
Now though... Now we got one damage shot and no dots or anything. You HAVE to couple MP with other combat professians as where before it could stand on it's own. Worse is that none of our specials make us unique seeing how they can be used by anyone.
The CD really screwed us over.
