Nice blatant plug. I have normally used my foraged food and combine it with a drink (primarily for balance). The chef profession is really over looked. Plus I am really glad you did not say "Buy Spice". I have used Neutron Pixie to save my life a few times, but the downside is to much of a pain in the @$$ for me.

Shuklar, yes food really does work! However, your "statistics" are not accurate. I can produce BoH and Angerian Fishak that buff +600s. There are many combos one can take that are much more effective than Tatooine Sunburns.

Just read a few posts and it seems a lot of people are affraid of specials...lol

Contact your local Chef and get a crate of Tatooine Sunburns. They are the best Chef food and the only chef food to boost any stat over the 1000 mark (or the 400 mark for that matter). They increase your strength and your quickness (or stamina...i can't remember) so high, you need never rethink using a special again. I can spam Fan Shot my entire mission and not loose Any health or Action from using specials. If you have low focus though it may cost you mind points still, yet get a master chef

Hope that helps!

I use these all the time ... I have many, many crates of action/mind cost reduction powerups as well as many crates of min/max damage powerups and have my guns powered up at all times.

I use Ryshckat and breath of heaven....

Rysh will typically give +320 ish to Strength, quickness, and focus...For 430 seconds (about)

While BoH will give 450 ish to strength quickness and focus for about 500 seconds....

Now the nifty thing is, one is a food, and one is a drink....And the effect they have on your "fullness" bar fades only 20 seconds after the buff fades....

So I put a BoH and a Rysh on my tool bar, and have a macro that automaticly eats 20 seconds after the buff fades....So I am always food buffed, even furing the 20 second window *one* of them is still active, so my quickness ect is always around 1200+.....

Basicily as long as I have food on me, my specials cost about 10-15 action per special..And I do not have to worry about eating .....

hehe, on a constant food buff from something that lasts less than 10 minutes. Do you dare to reveal how much this costs you a week?

probably cost him alot, but i use the same thing hehe....cost me up to 100k a week or more, but its well worth it for pvpers....This way i can always use max/min damage power ups and not waste durability on reducing my HAM cost.

Have a Doctor enhance your HAM bars...its the only way to go...never have to worry about specials then.

Just a question, since as a former Bounty Hunter (now working my way up to Master Pistoleer...and no, not because of holocrons ) I used to use the Tatooine Sunburn/Ryshcate combination religiously:

Have they fixed the bugs where stacks of food would stop working, necessitating one to drop them in a place where they had admin control and eat them from there in order to get the stack working again (at least until the next log)?

Ok, I lied...two questions.

Second question: Does food still mess up one's stats? I recall that when the buffs for food wore off, the stats would actually be lower than they were previously, until logging reset them.

Thanks in advance for any helpful answers!

Cheers!

If a doctor is availabe, definately go for it. But more often than not, I cannot find a doctor. So food is definately a great way to get around the special problem.

Well I buy them by the case, rysh is 10k a case, BoH is 25k a case....each has 25 per case, 7 uses per item.

175 uses per case....

The BoH can keep me buffed for about 24 hours straight before a rebuff....

And the rysh can keep me buffed for about 18 or so...

The trick is I /dump the macro when no enemies are around, then eat when I see them, and leave the macro on just in case they have friends...

Typically one case can last a week....So its 40k a week for both , BUT comparitive to how much I spend on low encumb composite and high damage weapons, the cost is minimal for the amount of help I get from it
