I am Pistoleer 1-0-0-0 and at the moment I cant even kill 1 storm trooper, I have a DX-2 pistol but my armour ain't great and I don't normally play in groups. One of the theme park missions requiers me to kill about 5 stormtroopers and as I can't kill 1 I don't even try but would like to carry on, what should I do?

You should NEVER kill stormtroopers, it's against Imperial Law

I would suggest making sure you're buffed, use Vasarian brandy for your mind, and make sure you use any specials you have, especially those that are in the pistol tree of marksman. You might want to start of with a bleed shot, so it's working while you kill your targets. You might want to look into ranged weapon powerups that increase your weapon's damage. You could also maybe team up with someone else who's there doing the missions, as well. It never hurts to ask.

I don't recal Han useing buffs and armour to kill Storm Troopers....

That's true, lol, however, in THIS version of SW, you'll need the buffs and the armor

np stack up some 125 dodge, 125 range defence and you dont need buffs and armor...........

but for our friend

get a heat pistol, usualy STs dont have heat protection, while the Fwg5 gives you good speed and damage.

also you can use the Featherweight Fwg5 pistol whitch gives +5 to accuracy and +5 to dodge, nice thing to have.

while you shoot keep on movint, would make you harder to kill and get close enough to be in your gun's ideal range. (fwg is 20m i think)

if you dont want buffs or armor, use foods, its fair, and Han Solo is a Pistoleer - Drunk type as is, so no one say that you cannot use some nice Brandy!!! (hehe)

also Han is some kind of Smuggler (he used to smuggle stuff in his ship) so there is no one telling you dont use Spices ether.. i can recommand that you eat 1 BoH, 2 Ryshcate, and wait bit to drink brandy. that would give you mind, and quickness, would lower the cost of your special shots.

and just remember keep on moving.

5 STs are not that bad, with fan shot and some luck you can take them out pritty quick.

LoL, Han wasa Master Pistoleer, Master Smuggler, with some Carbine skills (remember him using an E-11 in ANH)...

When you get that high, you will be able to kill ST's no problem

From memory on that mission you only need to kill the primary ST. Concentrate on him using everything you have ( pet's, droids and pistols ) and once he's dead you ( if my memory is correct ) will end up with completing the mission.

Hmmm don't want to buff or use armor....well you are going to have trouble with stormies since you have no pistoleer specials at this time...i would advise at least gaining stop shot b4 you attempt such a thing, however, if you simply can't wait then do this...if you are a covert simply walk right into the middle of the troopers...do not shoot them as you will tef....you will see that they will begin to wander off a bit...wait til they are good and spread out so you can pick them off one at a time....use a rep blaster that causes bleed on the shot, i believe these are the enhanced version, first kd with pistol melee def 1 then shoot with rep blaster causing bleed then change to fwg5 and blast him til death....just stay close to him, if he gets up kd again if you can...hope that helps

You only have to kill the ST Leader so just get a good Republic Blaster, bleed him from 64m and then /peace. Run until you're about 100m away from him and once the bleed tickshe'll come to you. That way you won't agro the rest of his pals. Make sure you heal yourself when your health get's to about 50% and just keep spamming your best special.

I had the same problem as you David. Then it hit me. It may sound funny, but I had to learn how to play combat. So... this is exactly what I did at your level and I've been extremely successful at PvE. Here's the list, it won't fail you...

At Novice Pistoleer, I took up:

- Novice Creature Handler. (this is by preference only, this is not what you want if you're going PvP)

- Novice Medic.

Go to the Bazaar or Merchants and buy these:

- Two CL 10 BE pets

- Lots and lots of Stimpak B's. Forget A's. Only buy B's.

- Pet Stimpak's (not as important to get these atm)

- Get the fastestpistols you can find. I like the D17.

- Find a Master Slicer or MasterSmuggler and get themsliced, hopefully in speed.

- Get powerups that will increaseyour pistolsspeed (Couplers).

- Purchase BE Clothing to enhance your pistol/defense/medical skills.

- Armor (I use Composite Armor, but I rarely have it on since my pets are the tanks, so I don't get hit often)

- Get spices (Optional)

- Get food and drink buffs (Optional)

Make macros:

- An attack macro for your pet.

- A combat macro for yourself. Bleed, then rollshot.

(You can combine the two macros if you wish)

- A Heal Self macro (extremely important)

- A BE Clothing Macro

- An Armor Macro

Before Combat:

- Clone at your nearest cloning center. Insure all your items, especially any camp kits

- Make sure your Battle Fatigue is lower than 250.

- Get Doctor buffs (Optional, but this will make your missions ALOT easier)

- Eat your food, spices, and drink.

Combat:

- Always be aware of your HAM bar

- If you're a Scout, have Mask Scent on

- Have your BE Clothing on.

- Put away your vehicle and get a pet out.

- Pick the correct pistol to use against your enemy with /exam. With most critters, I use the D17.

- Use Pet Attack Macro

- Use Self Combat Macro

- Spam Rollshot (or Healthshot 2) til the comes come home. I use Fanshot (when you become Trickshot)for multiple targets if they're close together.

- When your action bar is very low, use your Heal Self macro.

- If you get attacked, switch to your Armor immediately, have your pet attack it, and run while shooting at your attacker.

- Make sure you have Burst Run on your hotkeys just in case you need to run away quickly from a fight.

- Always be aware of your HAM bar.

I may be forgetting a detail or two, but this is how I've been playing and I rarely get incapped or die. Stormtroopers are a lot easier to take down now and critters are very easy to take down. PvP is another ballgame and I can't comment on that part of the game.
