This is a close range ability where you basically pistol whip your opponent. It does good damage and has a knockdown effect.

As much as I loved Pistol Melee Defense in beta, if it's not nerfed already, expect it to be in the future. It was way too powerful for the cost.

BH get a style called Eye Shot, Pistoleers get a title called Dead-Eye. You figure out the rest.

Overpowered..what does that mean?

Is fire knockdown overpowered? (ranged)
Is charge shot1/2 overpowered? (ranged)

Pistol melee defense? (melee range only)
How about unarmed knockdown (TKA)?

I'm looking for a clearer definition. Are all knockdowns overpowered? Melee ones only..or is it those pesky knockdowns at range that can basically eliminate anyone as a threat at range?

All knockdowns are overpowered, as in the best of the best monsters can be knocked down. I can vouch that melee defense 1 can knock down a Canyon Krayt, AT-ST and a Mantigrue Screecher. If you spam melee defense 1 over and over, you won't let the MOB (Krayt, AT-ST) get up and therefore won't kill a single person. Can you imagine, 20 people taking out a Krayt that didn't kill a single person? It happened.

The other day someone posted that they took out a Dark Jedi Knight with 4 or 5 people and it was continuously knocked down. These elite creatures need very high bonuses to knock down and posture change. Yes, you can make a Krayt go to it's Knees as well.. but it's not as helpful as knock down because when it's on it's knees, it can still attack pets/brawlers.

Has anyone else been wondering why Pistol Melee Defense 2 doesn't knock down the target, but 1 does? I've gone back to 1, even though it does less damage, because it gives me time to back up and either heal or pelt them on the ground making them twitch.

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing. I am not sure though if there is a delay in them hitting you back though.

When I use pistolmelee defense on a highlevel MOB it never seens to work.

If this is supposed to be the way is works (because of the mob's defenses) then this is only good against low lvl MOB's?

And against high lvl MOB's it is yet another non functional/redundant pistoleer move?

When i go on the correllian corvette or go to the deathwatch bunker i can hit PMD1 like 15-20 times but none of them sticks.
