Thread: PvP Commands?
I am currently Pistoleer 0/4/2/3 and like I said BH pistols.
With the current working specials for all these lines I have, what Specials should I chain for PvP?
Perhaps I should make a macro of it. Do you suggest something like:
/torsoShot
/healthShot1
/healthShot2
/bodyshot2
I'm really trying very hard to keep up with what all the specials do, how armor affects PvP, ranges, modifiers, min-max, effectiveness, AP and AR. It starts to become a lot to think about all at once, so I could use some advice from the more experienced who know better.
I would recomend chaining your health based DOT's as you suggested for PvE, but I would put Torso last as it will be the one that draws the aggro.
PvP, the only macro I've found usefull I call "cheapshot";
/pmd1;
/heald self;
/( heaviest targeted pool shot you have, repeat untill the 5 second timer runs out)
A lot of folks like to put stop after a kd, but I prefer the effectiveness of the targeted pool attacks. With BH speed added to pistoleer speed kd and a series of bs3's can be a deadly combo.
I find I spend half the time getting our status to stick ( bleed, or kd) and the other half spamming the BS of choice.
Mind you you get some nifty BH carbine specials that can and should be mixed in. Consider using macros that change yer weapon, fire the special of choice, and your weapon back.change back.
If I had Master Pistoleer / Expert BH I would:
Torso Shot
Health Shot II
Health Shot I
Body Shot III (if using a fast pistol)
Body Shot II (if not)
This is pure and complete Health Damage
If not:
Fan Shot
Stopping Shot
Decide where to go after here, depending on what pool got hit the most:
BodyShot
Eyeshot
If Action then keep going Stopping or Fan
Bleeding shot I believe targets a random HAM pool. Where Torso is Health.
Not 100% sure since I don't have BH, but I believe I read this.
If you have the BH Pistol line, almost always you want to use EyeShot in PvP. Your target almost never has buffed mind, and can't heal mind. Don't waste time with bleeds (including BleedingShot), just attack their mind.
Very rarely, someone will have a helmet on and no chestplate on. If that's the case, you should use TorsoShot ... or just switch to a Tangle Pistol (stun damage) and use EyeShot.
By the way, two quick tips: 1) You never should use BodyShot2 as an Expert BH. TorsoShot is better in every way. 2) You shouldn't use bleeds unless you think you can't kill your target in 10 seconds without them. For Pistoleers (who can only target Health) the sad reality is that they probably can't kill a smart opponent in under 10 seconds. Since you have EyeShot, you can. So use that.
One other benefit of EyeShot is *blind.* It makes them roughly 20 percent less accurate, which is very significant.
One last thing to think about ... why are you Mastering Pistoleer if you have Expert BH? You're better off getting other skills. Only master Pistoleer if you love the profession as opposed to expecting a lot of power from it. You won't be much more powerful than you are as a pure Expert BH.
I'm curious whether any CH out there has tried the ability to order pets to use special attacks that currently exists on Test (I think).
It sounds like that could make up the lack of state-changing specials in the Pistoleer tree.
Could you have one pet whose attack is KD, one pet whose attack is Dizzy, order them both to usetheir attacks, and thus get the most powerful special move combo in the game, in one round, ranged, while still firing with your weapon?
Master Pistoleer and BH pistol 4 you dont have skill points for. Unless you wanna give up Novice Medic. But by doing that you gimp yourself bigtime
