Thread: Pistol Template.. To be a medic, or not to be...
Others like to take on a more offensive role getting the BH pistol line giving you more specials and faster weapons certainly makes you much more powerful on the attack.
Which is best? There really is no best for all purposes. Just try to think of how you play and go with what feels best.

I beleive that it is essential to have at least novice medic to pvp effectivly. Unless you have a cm dedicated to healing at all times I cannot see how you can go with out it. With pharm 4 you can elimate pretty much any profession that cannot target mind cause you can heal right over the damage they do. Many times you'll get caught into a situations that you are not buffed and need to heal over the ham cost from using specials.
Why do you think jedi are so good? Granted they can also heal mind but there healing is what keeps them alive in battle. Do you see any jedi with out any healer? I dont think so. Try pvping for a month with medic, then a month with out it. Then you will see how much you need it![]()

first, i disagree that you need medic for pvp. the real threat is mind, medic doesnt help there.
also, if we went head to head in pvp, im shooting agood geo at you, weather its mind shot or torso shot you arent gonna have time to heal. if you do stop to heal, i just keep hammering away
and, i disagree that you need a ranged and melee mastery. you can only use 1 weapon at a time, so why master both? i agree its good to have both melee and ranged, but thats becuase you can get both melee and ranged mitigation. if you can get mitigation and defenses from a class without mastering it, there is no reason to waste like 50 or 75 skill points on trees you arent gonna use (speed and accuracy trees).
master ranged and dabble in some melee, or master melee and dabble in some pistoleer. thats my opinion at least.
oh and i forgot which poster said it, but about being unbuffed and needing to heal....i say just dont be unbuffed...i know theres not always a doc on, but still....

Thats actually around 34 points i believe when you have to add up the one handed row in brawler. Why not get the fs rows of ranged and mellee defence and get the extra +12 to each with only using 8 points of skill points. Then get pharm 4 and get cure bleed in medic. Bleeds can be very effective if used right expecially by jedi.
