Well, I tried it a few times, and it didn't look like it was working. The patch notes that I saw (screw it, I don't care enough any more to go look it up) said something like "suppression fire 1 and 2 have been fixed and now work and cause posture changes". I don't know, maybe I missed it. It didn't seem like it was working though.

Last night I used suppresion shot on a few different creatures out west of Bestine, and i saw some changes on some of the creatures I hit, like a flying creature was grounded after hitting with suppression. So it looks like its working to some degree.

I trained it last night just to test it out. I only got a chance to use it on some low level NPCs around Kaadara, but it did drop the one stance level at a time. I hit one NPC and he knelt immediately, then I hit him with it again and he went prone. This was a white con melee only NPC. He never got close enough to ever hit me. I did notice that a couple of other NPCs did "seem" to resist Suppression Fire in some way, but then I wasn't able to test it long enough to get a definative idea about what was going on.

Oh, that's better than I expected then. I didn't remember to try it till the end of the night - maybe I was just unlucky.

I've been hoping that if I sic pets on an NPC, then use suppression fire, they might be able to do some real damage if I can keep him prone. Not sure if that's better than just shooting him though.

I found it to work great on certain critters. I was able to stop a creature in its tracks for a second or two while I kept alternating suppress and bodyshot2.

Suppression Fire works on creatures as well, I rememberdoing itduring Beta.. It's just that creatures don't have kneeling animations and many don't have prone animations. You can still tell if Suppression Fire works or not by the Stance icon in the character box. That will show you if it's standing, kneeling or prone.

Suppression Fire works now --- new macro

/suppressionfire1; /supressionfire1; /fanshot; /fanshot; /fanshot

and repeat -

it has a very low ham cost along with fanshot I could take down 10K HAM creatures solo with little effort

had to solo since after the patch I couldnt call one single **edit**ing ept i had tamed even after i went and retamed a new gurrek baby **edit**ing game still wouldnt let me call it - now why can i tame something and **edit**ing use it is just plain **edit**ing dumb !!

Have to second s-storm on this one. Fast shot and does work against melee mobs. Against ranged mobs it doesn't seem to do much.

You can also switch between two targets and do it. I was fighting two mobs and my shots where like this suppression bodyshot switch suppression bodyshot switch ect... I would throw a heal in there where I needed it. And the mobs never got close to me so I still had a burst run option open to me. I did have to heal my mind up after the fight but it is do able.

In a group setting takingsocial mobs best bet is to know your mobs first and designate suppressors. These folks would workusing the above macro storm has and you would have one for each mob that would come. The rest of the group would stay on your main target and then switch to the others.

I do recommend bleeds be appliedas opening moves and then reapplied as needed.
