I'm at a loss combat-wise on the ground on how to attain credits. With solo groups gone, I have been using space to make credits. What do you guys do? Sell loot?

Loot selling is the best way to make money. Hit the Aakuan caves or the Tusken fort, or kill NPCs on Lok. Nothing is easier than milking the rich of their moolah.

Over the last five days, I've made about 8 million harvesting meat.

Three easy ways. Go to Lok do Nym's missions, sell loot, go in space kill TIER4 figters sell loot. I begin to use space for profit more and more, since in half an hour of fighting I can get 50-75k and its pretty fun.

you all seem to have forgotten "GROUP HUNTING"!!!
It's far more enjoyable group hunting for money than trying to find a way around playing as a team. Dont give me that crap about "im a solo player - its my style"... everyone says that. Admit it - group hunting is FUN. In fact, unbuffed group hunting with a halfway competent medic/CM/Doc is a great laugh - quite intense and pays off in the end. Sure it's not as fast as solo hunting was.. but we're not all meant to be richer than the emperor, ffs!

a fairly easy way to make some money is to get 1-4 friends, group up, get buffed and head to a planet with high paying missions.
everyone get your 2 missions, go to each one and kill the initial spawn of critters, then everyone trash the lair at the same time.
you can almost always get the lair done before too many more spawn, and you dont even need to kill them if you dont want to.
once the lair is done, the mission is 'completed', move on to the next mission.
i did this with a group of 2-3 others, we made roughly 300k in about 2.5 hours.
each.

so what are you saying?
hah isnt too descriptive.
are you making much more than this or less?
24k split 4 ways is much better than 35k split 20 ways.

I should think that, realistically (considering how used we have gotten to having uber armor) 2.5 hours of work for a set of "decent" (ie. uber) armor is well worth it, personally.
