Thread: Why are Bounty Hunters faster with pistols than Pistoleers? Not a rant or flame
BH can only be considered the "best" combat class in one on one engagements. They are extremely vulnerable in PvP that involve multiple targets due to poor defences. Ask a BH how they feel about the MTKA's KD and Dizzy.
They are not "best" due to the number of points that it takes to get there since they, like the commandos, have points in skill trees that are a total waste and have no logical reason for being a part of their tree ie., unarmed brawler for the commando and Master Scout for the BH. I can see terrain negotiation and exploration for camps for the BH but what does harvesting hides have to do with bounty hunting? Where in any of the Commando's skill tree is hand to hand combat even a requirement or ever enhanced?
BH is not the best combat class due to points it takes to get there they are best because of the type and effectiveness of their specials and variety of weapons they can use. Not to mention the effect of taking up either some pistoleer or smuggler "rogue" tactics.

I really disagree with this. The range of state effects bounty hunters have is phenomenal. A bounty hunter that knows what they are doing is easily on par if not superior to a pistoleer because of their debuffs. Fire, Bleed, KD, Dizzy, Blind, Stun.. they can do it all really and at range.
you are assuming the pistoleer hasnt taken another profession though. Add in TKA, Fencer, Smuggler, or Brawler, and it gets ugly for the BH. An MBH is a joke to fight if a pistoleer adds defenses from melee classes or rifle.
Remember, I said on a pistols alone basis anyway.

Supposed to, but not the ranged mods. Best they can do is cap them at this stage...rumor being 120. But either way 120>basically none. BH's need some love from the devs sometime soon.
