Sorry, my internet connection dropped while I was posting. What I was gonna say is, does anyone else thing a Master Pistoleer should be able to use every pistol in the game or am I alone on this one?

I agree.

Perhaps the Pistoleer would be slightly less adept at handling a Launcher or a scatter, they should still be able to use them.

The advantage of going BH should be in the specials, not so much the extra pistol cert.

/agree.

However, the advantage of going Master Pistoleer (Gunfighter..ack) should also be in the specials and not just in the extra pistol certs.

Master Pistoleer should be a master of his craft and be able to use any pistol......I agree, mavbe not as well

as a B/H but they should be able to use all pistols.

I dunno. Master Gunfighter (ahem).........Master Pistoleer is a strong profession on its own. Scatter is just a variation (a nice one at that) of the DX2 pistol. The Launcher Pistol (which I've used...I was novice commando and master gunfighter for a while) is reallllllllly overrated. AT-STs and turrets? I never fight em. I have to admit it was fun as hell to use, though. BOOM

I'd say that one of the strengths of our profession is that we can combine it with either commando, smuggler, or expert BH. It's a very versatile profession. I'm master gunfighter + expert BH now (finally) and it's awesome. One of the strongest builds available, and it may only get stronger from here on in. I definitely recommend it. Being able to attack the mind with eyeshot, once a second, with high accuracy is invaluable in PvP. Stopping shot with a variety of pistols, once a second, is also great in PvE.

I remember the100-300 damage 2.0 speed range days

No, I don't see a need for it in the slightest. We don't need the Scatter Pistol, because we have the DX2, and the Launcher Pistol just plain old isn't worth it. And we've now got the Geo Pistol. Adding more to that would be over-kill.

Plus it's kind of dumb to have a weapon cert. appear in two different places. It just makes that gun WAY more prevalent. So instead of just BH's and BH-Pistoleers with Scatter Pistols we'd see pretty much anybody with Pistol skills running around with it. People with Pistols 4 in Marksman are already going to be sure to grab Novice Pistoleer for the Republic Blaster, but tossing the Scatter in there would just be icing on the proverbial cake. Again, screw that. I don't want to see 10 times more Scatter Pistol using chumps running around, especially since I know many of them only got Pistoleer for the Republic Blaster, DX2, and Scatter.

Not worth it.

Yes, i totally 100% agree with you, and actually posted this before in a different thread, it just makes no sense why we cant use a scatter pistol, launcher pistol....makes a little sense, BUT still we should be able to use it.
