Its about average for my server. Get the weaponsmith to use the +20 projectile feed enhancement you get off the Nym's pirates on Lok. That makes a big difference actually.

And btw, Striker pistols are Kinetic damage. Situationally as good as a Tangle. Power5, however, is energy. Its less damage and speed than a scout. Pretty useless.

its not been sliced or had any power-up put onto it, i had to ask to her to make it (well them i bought 3), as she doesnt make them as they are bad sellers on my server. she also made me 3 great scatter pistols yesterday.

i've never seen another tangle pistol so have nothing to compare it against.

Tangle is in general totally useless except against stun volunurable targets (which preferably has high in the other resists ). I keep one just in case, but if there is any chance to use fwg, dx2 or republic blaster, do so.

I live on my tangle...3.2 170 or something. best purchase I ever made....very few stun resistant helmets out there these days....

i've just bought a tangle pistol of my regular weaponsmith, the tangle pistol compared to her other weapons is pretty bad. here are the stats

is this the norm for a tangle pistol.

can some of you post your stats so i can see what i should look out for.

What damage type does the Tangle do? And, it doesn't have any AP right?

Personally I've never used one, and I rarely ever see them being sold. Same with the Striker and Power5, which makes me wonder why I hear of so many Pistoleers using these Pistols. Anyone care to explain why you like them?

vuln = armor rating not working.

Vuln = AR does not apply. Thats the way its intended. So on Endor, when you fight Arachnes (AR2) you want to use your stun weapon. Tears right through them.

Wow, that has to be a record for misspelled words ina single paragraph, why even post?

it has no AP so the + you get to stun vunrable composite is out balanced in most cases by the fact you lose 50% because of composites light armour rating. I tested it out pretty comprehensively for 1 hour blasting the crap out of a guild mate, i thought it would be superb but was completely dissapointed. (47% energy 0% stun)

in theory it should fair well on composite with higher than 50% energy/heat resist

i still find a dx2 or republican the better choice for me - we dont have the fabled pre nerf fwg5 on Chimera

You also gotta remember it has the most hideous range mods ever , more so than a dx2.

I think its best used for Medium armour class mobs that are stun vunrable, kimogilas spring to mind but only a lunatic would try that alone with a pistol and HS1 and 2 as your only real damage makers.
