Thread: Add The Bryar Pistol!!!

Hello everyone this has been on my mind for a while and I am only now getting to it. For those of you familiar with the Dark Forces and Jedi Knight games, featuring Kyle Katarn, you may be familiar with the coolest pistol around. That pistol is the Bryar Pistol.


I was really hoping to one day see this weapon in game and I post today to make those dreams a reality. In my oppinion, petitions never get listened to. The want of the community is entirly different. If enough people on these boards feel that adding the Bryar Pistol would be a smart move then let your voice be heard!

I admit, I wouldn't mind seeing the Bryar in Star Wars Galaxies. However,it has to fill a need or emptiness in our current lineup of pistols before the art team would take the time to render and skin it and the programmers would take the time to add the code in.

Emptiness ??? How adding more pistol certs, or weapon certs for that matter, to all the elite professions!!

But there is the issue of more certs, if we're pistol experts, why can't we use ALL the pistol types?

I hate to be the one that says it...but the Bryar isn't a pistol

If you read your Kyle Katarn background, you'll see that the Bryar was actually a rifle...and Kyle modified it into a pistol.

Maybe it'd be good as a rifle & a pistol then...full version for riflemen, get it tweaked by a Weaponsmith to make it a pistol.

Now, I know they've already blown a lot of continuity stuff already, but being unfamiliar with the time period of the stuff you're talking about, is it the right period for the game?

Yes, Kyle Katarn used it while stealing the plans to the original Death Star. I've been saying this needs to be implemented for a long time now too. It might not be an official pistol, but it could easily be the shortened version of a bryar rifle or carbine (which could be added too.)
